  1. How was it in the hotel room...did you need anything extra to run it there??

Do you need the 3G model,or is the wi-fi model sufficient??

Thinking of getting one(But it's the same price as a flight to LOS!!!).

    I have one, a 16 with 3g.

I use it for small group sales presentations.

Aside from that, I think its an oversized phone that you can't make phone calls on. But to be fair, I am an IT luddite.

I guess its great for looking at porn, but I dont risk that in some of the countries I visit.(Particularly LOS where I am too busy making it to bother to watch it  )

For small easy to carry etc, I prefer my little eee pc, far more office suite friendly etc, and if I need real power, I take my Dell xps, 8gig with 400 gig, super fast and still not much heavier than the i pad anyway.

BTW I also have an iphone that I only use for pics, music, world clocks and exchange rates. Otherwise, I think that's a toy too and much prefer my B/Berry for business.

Don't get me wrong, I like i stuff for home/personal use, but prefer pc and b/berry for business, and when I am not mongering, I am all about business.

  2. There are actually a multitude of ATM's around the tourist areas of Thailand. They are commonly European or American models sometimes also Australian or Japanese. They are very easily spotted as they tend to be accompanied by a 20 something Thai model. The base of the German version will often be attired with socks and sandals. The American version adapted this principle but swapped the sandals for trainers. They are convenient as the are known to dispense large amounts of cash without credit check. However, restrictions apply. For one, these ATM's have age and gender restrictions. Preferential treatment will be awarded to 18-25 year old females. :P

    Love your humour.

I am an ATM, but NEVER give credit ratings to females. Beautiful and horny LB's have unconditional access to whatever is in my pockets (larger denominations are kept in the safe)

  3. reminds me of my first post about Cascade after visiting it for the first time.

Somebody replied "what did you think or the waterfall"

all I could think of was ... there was a waterfall in there... blink.gif

But to my defense... my eyes are trained to filter out all but the most important information cool.gif

    Fuck the waterfall

    Waterfall?

    What?

    Where?

If its LB related, its not called a waterfall, its called a golden shower. B)

  4. OK that was dumb, I made a new thread before I noticed the other thread on the BTS. Sorry. But the last post on the other thread was in January... Anyone have any new info??

I actually think the train is quite expensive if I recall about 250bht and a lot more hassle. Then a cab from station to hotel, worls out not much less than a cab all the way, or haul your luggage through the streets. If you negotiate well, on insist on meter, a cab will be about 400bht to Nana area. IMHO well worth the extra couple of dollars.

  5. Don't know why they would want to do this. The interest just fades in a ladyboy at that point.

Only ever done one PO and that was because I did not ask enough questions first.

The experience? Same, same as a gg, unfulfilling. I felt ripped off, it was money, time and precious juices I could have used on a real LB.

2 years later and I am still upset about it

  6. I downloaded this, I use XP, but get no resize option when I right-click on my pix. Then again, I am a techno-idiot:huh:

Double click on the pic, that brings it up in gallery mode. Tool bar top right says open, single click that and a drop down menu appears, select microsoft office picture manager. Go to edit photos, a side bar will appear, at the bottom of the sidebar, click compress photos. Then you have choices, documents or web pages will work for posting to the forum.

  7. I've had an iPhone since there weedy 2G one was released.

It now feels like the son I never had :D

Seriously, it would take a lot for me to switch as I now have bought into Brand Apple!

As for unsolicited data, the only prob I've had was when I first took it abroad. Actually, it was just across the water the Republic of Ireland (abroads as per O2 is concerned) and was charged (or at least they TRIED to charge) me £110 for receiving one email !?!?! This was cos I stupidly left, "Data Roaming" switched to "YES". Big mistake.

I disputed it and said that this function is buried at the bottom of a pile of settings and why should the default be set to "Yes"?? Surely the default is "No" and if you want to cut your children off from any inheritance that may have been left, then select "Yes" if you go abroad.

Well, I got the famous, "As a gesture of good will" pish, but I was credited with the £110.

After that, I had no probs with extra data as I have always had Data Roaming switched off. Apple and O2 have since amended the default Roaming settings to "No" after thousands of complaints. I remember seeing a consumers rights programme in the UK called Watchdog highlighted this problem and a guy who went on holiday with his family to Spain took his mobile with him and left it in a drawer in case there were any emergencies at home. All this time, he was receiving email after email and was none the wiser about "data roaming' charges. His next bill came in at £11,000 in data roaming fees !?!?! :(

So I have no issues at all with iPhones in respect of unsolicited data being received.

14 sleeps and I'll be at the Apple Store for an iPhone 4 ;)

Well how disappointing this was!!!!! When I saw the title "New Model" I thought I was going to see pics of a gorgeous new LB, as yet unsullied by the mongrels mongers on this forum. But no, it's a feckin phone???? You guys are perverts

  8. I'm travelling through the U.S. and at an airport that offers free wi-fi, so of course i checked out to see if I could get on the forum. Bingo! I'm happy to say. Its great that we are not filtered out at many public wi-fi spots. However when I tried to get on other forums I got this message:

Welcome back Slammers, sorely missed your input here mate.

I have been away about the same length of time so have done little posting, just a few silly comments here and there to piss people off.

I am now in LOS (land of sex) and studiously taking repeated hits for the team, in my quest to find the perfect LB, photograph her and describe the experience to you all in lurid detail.

The bad news is I have yet to find the perfect one, so I just keep on searching and taking more and more pics in the vain hope that one day --------????

  9. I have heard that if you indulge in romance with a Gavi LB, and engage in such activities as nibbling their earlobes, if you find their ears too moist with a slight discharge, call reception, because it means that model is now full up, past its use by date and will be replaced with the MK 11 version.

Its a wonderful place, could be considered the LB equivalent of the Stepford Wives.

  10. Just ask yourself one simple question. Would I rather spend the extra 3 seconds to open the FREE bottled water to brush my teeth or would I rather spend my entire vacation pissing out my asshole?

For me the best bet is to treat all water that does not come from a bottle as if it will give you the galloping trots.

Most hotels, high and low end, get their water from the municipal water system which is fine if you are a local and possess the necessary bugs in your gut to counteract the creepy crawlies but if you are a pampered visitor just beware.

Just consider your potential partner and the embarrasment that could result from loose bowel syndrome right in the middle of a jolly rogering!

    MH21

With you all the way Millhouse, it does not paint a pretty picture.

With my luck it would happen with the best LB I had ever experienced, and I doubt she we offer a second opportunity when you got better. :(

  11. I'm with you..

always with the cattle in back

I hate looking at all of those comfortable seats on the way off the plane

But my Baht is reserved for LB's

I travel cattle class all the time, but usually only around Asia, so relatively short hops. I do collect a lot of points, so every couple of years I get a free business class to Europe. :D

    Yes its nice.

  12. Me all i care about is not having to sit next to a massivly over weight fat slob who takes over my seat. Happened a while back on a short trip and i refused to sit next to the person, got a few looks but no way...

These days, Sing air Perth/Sing run is only 2 seats each side and Business class size TV screens.

On one trip, a Chinese guy had the aisle seat and I had the window, we were busy reading our Fin reviews and congratulating ourselves on having made a bit of money and that the middle seat was empty.

Just before the doors closed, the biggest guy I have ever seen came and tried to sit between us.

The Chinese guy said "Fuck off, you are too fat to sit here so fuck off"

I couldn't believe it, the guy went to an attendant and found another seat.

The Chinese guy looked at me and said.

"That fat cunt was far to big to sit here!"

Amazing what you can do if you have the balls eh!

  13. One thing I would say about Singapore Airlines is the outstanding food you get. I remember on my last flight I was sitting next to a 30-something British couple (im from the UK, so I can say this !) and what a pair of moaning feckers they were.

Anyways, we get the main meal which was "Steak". I opened the foil thinking, this has got to be rubberised shit. I opened it up and a thick piece of tender moist medium, but with a perfect touch of pink in the middle, chargrilled steak. I like to treat myself with nice restaurants from time to time and I kid you not, the quality was up there with a great restaurants.

I was so impressed that I was JUST about to make a sarcastic remark to the couple saying, "I think mines is just a little over-done for my liking, do you think they will re-cook mine?", I kid you not, the next second before I opened my mouth, the woman was complaining to the air steward saying, "There is no way Im eating this, Its terrible". She wasn't a veggy or anything. Remeber, this was in the Economy Class and she, like me, had paid only £325 return at their promotional rate.

    Some people eh ! :D

    Yep food is always great.

There is a saying in OZ. "You can always tell when a plane load of Poms arrive, because you can still hear the whining, long after the engines stop." :D

  14. I never drink the stuff, but always brush my teeth from the tap. Ive done this in Laos/Cambo/Vietnam/LOS and never had any huge issues.

The way I see it is we are all consuming the water in some way, be it washed plates with dribbles left on, ice in your drinks (apparently the big western companies McD's KFC have purified iced water - but I doubt the bars pay for such a premium ice cube!)

I suppose with the law of averages, Im due for an infection some time from this after 17 years of SE Asian mongering with no water-borne bugs :(

No ice in beer or red wine, so no risk for me there.

Plates and salad yes, so I only eat salads in upmarket places too.

Don't really know why we worry about water when I think about what else we stick in out mouths

  15. Don't get discouraged on reply's. There are always more VIEWS than replies. It means NOTHING... really.

As for your question. The water is fine if you stay in the bigger cities (correct me if I'm wrong BM's)

My first experiences in Asia were in Cambodia, and all of the water there is suspect at best (don't even brush your teeth with their water).

but I have had no problems in Thailand. Others BM's will surely come along and give you more solid advice.

If your even slightly worried at any time the the price of bottled water is worth the peace of mind and OTHER THINGS.

Most better hotels give you a couple of complimentary bottles of water each day anyway. And in the cheaper ones I would not risk it.

I NEVER even clean my teeth with tap water, I have got sick twice around Asia, and on both occasions, I begged for death it was that bad. It really is not worth the risk

  16. I travel almost exclusively on Singapore airlines. I don't have the long leg problem LULT ;)

I like their frequent flyer program, their kris flyer lounges, the timetable suits me well to and from Australia and the great service.

But most of all, a very cute flight attendant was VERY nice to me once, she went above and beyond the call of duty. :P
