When I booked for my next trip I tried some of those online booking sites and the fairs were either the same (different airline though and they wanted an overnight in KL) as Thai Air or were more expensive so I just cut out the middleman and booked with Thai Air, all my bookings now are done online as I gave travel agents the flick a long time ago.

Like with my hotel bookings I deal direct with the airline and book online.

Tarntawan is ok for 2 LB's no worries, good security too, a lot of gays do stay there but have seen quite a few straight couples staying there as well as some deviants like me.

You can always try the Tarntawan hotel, just along Surawong rd from Patpong (opposite the Tawana). They are LB friendly and have good security.

I stay at Tarntawan Place on Surawong Rd.near Patpong.Very good hotelat 2,300 baht a night.
I agree on Tarntawan + I like the non smoking rooms, good food, good staff and it's close to me friends place.

Haven't caught anything since I started wrapping the little fella in a rain coat ands that was back in the 90's...
