  1. any pics of the rooms ?

i intent to spend 3 days in C.I.B and i want to be toooo close. I like almost all the ladies there. i plan to have 2 ST and 1 LT for every day

i'm not interested in visiting other venues

    I appreciate that

It is a very basic hotel . It is directly above CIB bar . They use it for short time rooms . Really isn't anything to photograph . A small room with a bed with a very basic shower toilet . ( sorry don't have photos )

  2. Here is a taxi price list that I snapped on my way back from Phachara Suites on soi 6 to the airport. It says 700 on the list but the driver only asked me for 500, I gave him 700 anyway as I already had it ready.

4000THB for the River Kwai/Tiger Temple looks pretty good and a good bit cheaper than what I paid from an official tour site.

I got the concierge @ Phachara Suites to ring me a taxi to go to the airport . I asked how much it would be going to cost with no meter . He quietly said " 400baht sir " . Deal :)

Edit :: i have been a train advocate but this trip ( from airport) it was jam packed , stood up all the way bumping elbows . Also the express isn't working now , so quite a few stops

  3. The Adelphi is in soi 8, the hotel in the picture opposite Phachara is the Dynasty Grande :)On another note, last monh I noticed construction has started on that vacant lot of land next to soi 6. The Phachara sits more or less at the back of that, any noise issues due to construction?

No noise issues at all , but i'm only on floor 4 room 17 . Which is basicly straight above the restaurant ( i could drop a coin into that fountain at the front almost .

You are correct , too many beers last night i think 555

  5. I booked 8 nights at this hotel because of some of the good reports here . Booked the one bedroom suite $93au per night with breakfast . Very convenient location , well maintained rooms, large balcony with table and chairs. Would definately stay here again :) ( oh i didnt have a threesome but i did have 3 visitors on the one day at different times with no problems) will add some more photos later

  6. Recently stayed here for 6 nights . Booked a corner suite , $94au per night with out breakfast . Nice room , staff ok , gurl friendly . Had a nice big free standing 2 person bathtub . Like an idiot i didn't make use of it , except for stand up work with a well known tall blonde gurl .

Fairly convenient being about 100-150 mtrs from asoke bts ( on what should be called soi21 , but has some other long thai name that i'm too lazy to look up :) )

  7. It's just them trying to cut cost. I just requested they bring me another up and give me two each day and it was done. The higher priced hotels do similar things with towels, under the guise of saving the environment they will request you hang them and use them over.

Yes they do , but just drop on floor and will be replaced :)

  8. Thai internet is still way behind the western world in reliability and speed, IMO. But yes, it's possible to get hooked up and works (most of the time). But the country badly needs an infrastructure upgrade. And it's very over priced for what they deliver, like DTAC: $18 a month for a 3G service that gets you a few gigabytles of data, and then drops down to EDGE data speeds (eg 200kb/sec) when you reach the limit. Pretty lame if need to do regular downloading of a gig every few days, which isn't a rare scenario.

You are lucky then ,, its cheaper in thai than australia and i get shit speed where i live so thailand is an upgrade for me 555

  9. I will be making my first trip to Bangkok in a couple of months. I have an iPhone and iPad. Will I need to make any modification for the devices to work? Are the hotels near Nana equipped with free wifi? What about phone charger? Many thanks.

They work just fine & yes many hotels offer free wifi . I now get a thai sim for my iphone with preferably 1gb plus of data available . Mostly use the free wifi but sometimes hotspot from iphone to ipad if its a bit slow . "True " offer some free wifi with there phone plans also .

  10. A few apps for the guys on the ground to try out.

They all work the same. Basically you book the taxi via the app and wait for a driver to accept your booking. Once accepted both parties can see each others location on their phones so you know exactly how far off the taxi is to picking you up. You don't need to pay the driver with cash as your credit card is saved in the app.
