  1. I know this is a REALLY dumb newbie question, especially as you've mention Adelphi Suites in a thread about LB friendly hotels on an LB forum ... but I just wanted to check with all those in the know that Adelphi Suites is definitely LB friendly.

I'm staying here at the moment, and I might like to bring an LB back here.

I'd really appreciate any info, as a nervous total novice. Thanks.

If you are staying there just call reception and ask (if you are embarrassed to pop down to the counter). Trust me they won't bat an eyelid. Bkk reception staff have seen everything. Ok, maybe not a dwarf LB with 3 tits. But short of that you are not going to surprise them.

I used to be the same way at first when I stayed at hotels before moving here permanently. But then I soon realized that hotels give a rat's ass what I do in my room as long as I don't trash it. They have dozens of guests checking in and out everyday and likewise guests of guests.

Will reception respect you in the morning? Do you give a rat's?

  2.

I suggest any of the BM's who read your comments read the article and do the math! ...

    So, I did.

From the article, using Truvada the chance of not being infected in one encounter with HIV+ person = 99% = 0.99 probability

    => chance of not being infected after two encounters = 0.99 x 0.99 = 0.99^2 = 0.98

    => ... => chance of not being infected after 70 encounters = 0.99^70 = 0.49.

So, even if you are on Truvada, the odds are that you'll be infected within 6 months even at a slow

pace of sex every other day. Of course, this presumes you're having sex every time with a + person with

Truvada being the only line of defence.

However, if you are randomly picking LBs off the street then the odds actually improve in your favor. Because

say 1 in 100 LBs is +. Then the probability of being infected in one encounter drops from 0.01 to 0.0001.

Which means the chance of safety increases to 0.9999. And, 0.9999^1000 = 0.90, so even after a 1000

    encounters your odds are good.

To my mind the danger pointed to here is from a regular LB or GG you like well enough to see regularly and

are so comfortable with that you suck, swallow, BB, etc. If she somehow goes and gets infected from another

person while still in that semi-relationship with you then you are (unknowingly) running a really lousy

risk of catching something, especially in the initial stages of her infection when nothing shows outwardly

(and she may not even be aware) but the viral load is high.

Conclusions are (1) randomize your LBs, i.e., no regulars (2) cover up with regulars or (3) have

    yourselves frequently checked.

Ok, that's all for today boys. Now go outside and play.

  3. Hi Guys,

I'ts almost time for my first trip to LOS. I was wondering what the best mode of transport from Don Muang airport to Nana would be (my hotel is near nana plaza).

Would you recommend a taxi straight to the hotel, or to take the bus to Mor Chit and continue on BTS to Nana BTS station? My flight arrives at Don Muang around 15:30.

As it's your first trip just take a cab, best from the regulated cab line so you don't have to negotiate. Ask the driver to get on the highway (100 b toll). Arriving at 15:30 you'll be exiting about an hr. later when the highway's busy, but not impossible, while underneath it's a crawl.

  4. You didn't ruin my day I assure you. In fact, that's great info you put out. Glad to know you're doing well and that what used to be a death sentence has been reduced nowadays to a chore.

Yep, you're doing the right thing telling potential partners of your status upfront. Let them decide.

I see your point 7 but, personally, I believe I would have a mental block engaging in sex with a person I knew to be positive (no offense meant). And I suspect most LBs in Bkk would be of similar mind - they seem paranoid about health and cleanliness. Which figures. Getting sick here, especially for someone less financially advantaged, could be a pretty miserable experience.

  5. Can anyone recommend a nice ST hotel or room right near Nana Plaza? Something for 400B or less.

ED: I usually hit the PB hotel on Suk 3, but it's getting rundown and is around 450B. Looking for something better or at least cheaper and the same quality.

Re PB there are actually two parts under separate management. The outside ground level ST rooms with car parking in front are one while the rooms on the second floor inside the main building are another. The outside I believe are 330 b. and tend to not be kept up. The rooms in the main bldg. are nicer at 440b(1lb)/590b(2lbs)/3hrs., the reason probably being that they are often let out long term to regular visitors. Downside is that they can get busy and run of out ST spots. Calling ahead is advisable.

Another decent place in the vicinity is the hotel (forget the name) that's the first one to the left entering Soi 7/1 (just past Subway). The rooms are clean but smaller than PB.

ED: Just noticed your ED which implies you are already using the rooms inside. I'll let the post stand in case others find it useful.

  6. Victory monument roundabout, was were i was looking, even better if i can get ST room near "phaya thai skytrain station"

Soi Rang Naam is a 5 min. walk from VM so the place opposite King Power should be good. I don't know of any ST places near the PT BTS station.

  7. Where in Pratunam? E.g., on Ratchpraharop Soi 8 there's a line of happy-ending massage places with rooms upstairs which they'll be happy to rent out even if you're not with one of theirs.

If you're willing to hold on for a 5 min. cab ride there's a huge place I see on Soi Rang Naam just opposite King Power, Taxi drivers should all know it. Kind of shabby looking though.

  8. My understanding is you don't want someone else's body fluids saying hello to your bloodstream. An ulcer, even if it's not bleeding, obviously increases the risk.

You could always have the recipient, presuming not a postie, wear a condom. Not as much fun, but safe. And get the ulcer looked at if you haven't already. Mouth ulcers often need antibiotics to clear because they're situated in a lousy environment for easy healing.

  9. From Wikipedia: "K-Y Jelly is a water-based, water-soluble personal lubricant, most commonly used as a lubricant for sexual intercourse." Hopefully, this means it's not going to be knocking tiny holes in rubber. And it's very easily available (every 7/11) in Bkk.

What pops out of LB handbags is often different but I suspect with most of them these are leftovers from their last encounter. Those I see are very happy to take whatever doesn't end up trashed in the tryst, including condoms and lube.

Ok, here's an update in view of the previous post:
