  1. Good review. I have just been wandering through the forum looking for exactly the unique feature you referenced: No ID smack down. Nothing pisses me off more than to have some ID cop chasing me and my guest through the lobby and causing a scene. I think there is more to it than just guest security. The only other place I found that didn't much care was Rembrandt Tower. I never checked anyone in there and just walked strait in. Did the same for a while at Phachara Suites, but then they started asking for a sign in. If anyone knows of other BKK hotels or serviced apartments that don't require sign-ins I'd like to know.

  2. I highlight the picture with the left click and then once it's highlighted I right click for the menu. The same thing works for me by just left clicking on the picture. The first option is Open, second is print, third is edit and fourth is resize pictures. That's what you select.

I can't explain why it doesn't work for you. Maybe it didn't download correctly. You might try downloading it again. I downloaded this several years ago. I think it is easier and faster than going to a photo program. It will give you the resized plus preserve your original.

  3. This information may be dated and irrelevant, but since I'm dated and irrelevant it seems to satisfy me. This is a link to the Microsoft store to download some of their toys. On this page you'll find an image resizer download. After you download it you can highlight a photo or every photo you have, right click, and go to resize photos, and resize to small, medium or large. It's the fastest and easiest way I've found to resize. Unfortunately, this is for Windows XP. Doesn't work for Vista and I don't know about Windows 7. I run both XP and Vista, but use the XP system to resize everything because it's so easy. I think I size to medium, which is perfect for posting on the forum.

Some people brighten up the room when they enter it, and some people brighten up the room when they leave it.

    Have a guess

  5. Thanks guys for the feedback. I normally stay at the Grand President and probably stay there again. I don't want to book for a month and then have problems....that would be mightily piss offing!!

Rackenrobbier can you let us know how you go when you are there. I am a bit worried about some of the tripadvisor reports of arab children running up and down the corridors...a total non no for me. I don't mind paying a bit extra but not if its noisy!!

    have a good day guys

Just booked a month at the Omni Tower. For best rate contact Pinya (TAN) at email: life_travel.r@hotmail.com. This is a travel agent in the lobby of the Omni. I got rates from her and directly from the hotel. 1-2 weeks through her is 2000 baht per night and through the hotel I think is about 2400. These are for the serviced apt. (one-bedroom) units. They also have a condo unit that's a bit cheaper but don't know anything about that. Think its just a hotel room.

The arab kids: Never had a problem with them running the halls much. There are arabs there, but my experience is they are everywhere and in every hotel now. Only problem I had was a serviced apartment at Grand President when a little one knocked on my door and ran right in when I opened it. He didn't stay very long.

  6. I give the fuck up. I still can't find how to get the little contact me symbol and the PM symbol by my name. Everybody else I view has it. Not great with computers here. Only thing I can find is on my profile it says:

"This user has not configured their 'About Me' page and has not added a signature to their account yet."

I'll be go to hell if I can find anything about that and it's starting to piss me off. Am I the only person in the world that can't figure out how to configure the "page"? And, if I do, will that give me the little trinkets I crave? I would hope someone could give a bit of guidance here.

  7. Thanks bigmick for the info. I'm still in the woods on it (haven't been a babe for a long time). Another question, under your logo there is a box for add this member as a friend and another for pm this member. I've tried to find where and what that is but to no avail. Also, I've seen mention of listings in a private section (don't recall the exact title) and don't understand that. I figured some things might simply fall from the sky after I posted so many times. But, now not sure.

I will continue to explore and try to discover on my own, but it would be helpful if had a thread like a help section to explain all this. I hesitate to bang away on the keys and screw things up. I know I would feel more comfortable about posting if I had better understanding.

    Again, thanks.

  8. Not wanting to seem like a dumb shit I've wandered around the Forum trying to figure out what all the symbols and terms mean and how to use the Forum. I give up. I admit to being a dumb shit. So, what do all the symbols and decals and buttons mean and how do I manuver around and maximize my use and contributions in the Forum (I've noticed some topics are "pinned" - what's that mean)? What does it mean and how to become a trusted member, advanced member, moderator and other titles besides newbie?

I'm also a member of the LB Pat Forum. I was trying to figure things out and clicked on the little report triangle at the bottom left. Now I have a warning under my listing. Don't know if that did it or what it means.

There has to be someplace where all of this is explained. Can someone light the path for me?

    Thanks,

    Racken
