Critical update to the joiner fee!!!!! I was bringing my 2nd LB for the night and was told that after 10:00 there was a one thousand baht joiner fee!!! I informed the man that I had been bring in guest all week after this time witout the fee. He said that was an error and I should have been charged. I got the fee waived for this one time knowing I was checking out the next morning. So I would get this in writing next time. Excelent hotel except for this one incident and this hotel will go into the banned catagory unless this is untrue and we had a bad nightman. I will call ahead of time before booking again
I stayed at the Accor Grand Suk last year (Dec 2009) and had no issues with bringin back guests. Reading this thread I decided to ask and see if their policy had changed. Looks like they are now charing a joiner fee. I'll go elsewhere.

Subject: Guest Policy
Hello,
I am considering staying at your hotel later this month. Before I do so I want to ask about your policy on bringing guests back to the hotel. Are there any issues with bringing my friend, girl friend or a Lady Boy back to the room? Any joiner fees?

probably too many different possible scenarios to answer every question.

if u use a money changer you get a slightly better rate for larger bills. I believe $50USD or larger.

I had no problems with the Grand Suk this week, and would recommend to anyone on this board. I had a couple of 2 per night (at diff times) and no issues signing in after 10 pm. I had also registered to 2 guests; when I checked in the clerk stated, I see you have reserved a room for 2, I understand your guest will be arriving later and just remember to sign her in at the concierge when she arrives.

Nice review... I've been to most of these... I thought firehouse was a good pick. I've been there 3-4 times and always had good service and food. it is small maybe 6-8 tables inside and a couple outside and has always been packed, so I always go early (before 8).... I was mixed on Angel diner, a decent attempt at American food, but not terrific,. The Australian was only OK, if not overpriced. Mulligans has a good beer selection, the appetizers we tried were good, never had a full meal there. There is also a decent Mexican place, for asia, called Charley Browns Mexicana -- it is on the side soi near cheap charlies outdoor bar, if know where cheap charlies is just keep walking and it is on the left.
