  1. Haven't stayed there but have heard good review from those who have. They do good deals on long stays - 1 month or more

A friend of mine currently staying there and says it's great

A lot of the early content for AsianTS was shot in the Omni :D

  2. Rackenrobbier - you will not see the icons (little pictures) for 'Add as a friend' or 'PM this member' for yourself. This is the case for everyone - and it makes sense if you think about it. Why would you need to send a PM (Private Message) to yourself or add yourself as a friend?

Similarly - I do not see this for myself but I do see it for you and everyone else

    Hope this makes sense

  3. +1 for Landmark - I always enjoy the food there (try the pork chops and mashed potato)

in BKK, I mostly eat at the roadside vendors that are all over the place - including on Sukhumvit and Soi Nana

Another recommendation for good, cheap food is Foodland on Soi 5

If you want some more expensive (still decent prices by western standards) places - then try out the many restaurants on Soi 11 (I ate at Zanzibar there recently and it was good)

There are food courts at all the malls - usually quite cheap

You can eat for very little in Thailand - especially if you eat Thai food at no-frills local eateries. If you want western food or a nice setting, then expect to pay more ... but still cheap compared to Europe. Luckily, Thai food is very nice (most Europeans seem to like it) and the cheap, roadside vendors do great food

I like to eat at roadside vendors on Sukhumvit (between Soi 5 and 7) after 2am and watch all the Nana girls go by :D

  4. RR - PM one of the mods on the other forum. If they see the report was from yourself, they should be able to remove the warning (Moderator LULT is a mod on that forum too)

To pin a thread is to ensure that it always appears at the top of the list of threads for it's sub-section - even as it gets old (by default, threads are listed with those with most recent activity - posts - first). Pinning allows for a particularly god thread (usually with content that is frequently asked for) to be easily found.

Regarding trusted members, please refer to this thread here http://www.bangkokladyboys.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=2 (explains what a trusted member is, how to become one and what the benefits are)

Status such as advanced members etc is an indication of previous contribution by a board member (previous posts, pictures uploaded, trip reports etc)

The moderators job is to ensure that posted content is on-topic and adheres to the rules and ethos of the board. The moderators do have the ability to perform such tasks as - removing posts/threads, merging and splitting threads, editing content, changing member status, creating new forum sub-sections and many others

  5. like Slam Man, I've heard of Amari Watergate (as far as I know, it's a nice hotel) but not the PJ Watergate

Another good place for electronics, software, computers etc (but less frenetic than Panthip) is Fortune IT in Ratchada

  6. Marshal,

in the top right of the screen you will see a box with your name and a downward pointing arrow to the right

Click on the arrow and choose 'My Profile' from the list

when the Profile page loads, there will be a button at top right to edit your profile

Finally, when edit profile page loads, you will be presented with a list of options on the right - one of which is to 'Change My Avatar'

  7. Dynasty Inn Grande all the way

Best bang for your buck. Depending on the time of year you pay between 1880 and 2280 for a 3.5 star hotel.

The staff at all Dynasty hotels are excellent

the location is great - easy walk to Nana but you don't actually have to look at Nana when you step outside

The LBs all seem to like this hotel too - the staff treat them well

  8. thanks for the review montblanc

I've heard good things about the Dawn (it's only about a year old)

As it's part of the Dynasty group of hotels, I'm not surprised. They know what they're doing and have great staff

  9. most Thai LBs working in bar will not be impressed by a fancy restaurant - especially if it's western-style.

They'd rather the money went to them than somebody they already see as rich

For food, they're more than happy to get simple Thai fare from a streetside vendor

Many LBs have confirmed this to me

By all means, splash out on yourself if this is what you fancy but don't think it'll make your Tai LB "date" any more grateful. If anything, she'll take you for an even bigger sucker with waaaaay too much money

  10. was just wandering about aspen suites if you can cut across somewhere to go to soi 4 rather than traveling al the way to sukhumvite road?

    thanxs

yes - you can turn right at Rajah car park ... near Guess Bar

  11. and pirated Wii discs too

So much stuff for sale in MBK - could get lost in there for days

I saw the 'Nano' iphones there in Jan - they did look very cute :D

Got my teeth cleaned in MBK dentist for 800 baht - very eclectic mix of stuff in MBK!

  12. cover up whenever you have sex with a P4P worker

In SRS, the prostate is partly re-used ( a medical friend explained to me before but I forget the details) to provide some lubrication for man-made pussies (not as well as a real pussy, obviously) so the possibility of bodily fluid exchange is still there.

    Don't take any chances
