KLW, I agree that its a good rule of thumb but there are exceptions. In Pattaya all of the Eastiny hotels are fine with bar girls but will NOT accommodate LB's. A number of BM's over on LBP have found this out the hard way at 2am when their guest was not allowed to enter. Its not about a joiners fee, the owners are just bigots.

TT, LULT, bigmic22 and ? I know we are a small forum but we are increasing daily as you know. Do you see us being able to support some more of the options that the other forums have. I understand the shout box is a bit resource intensive but how about the top poster area or status update abilities that PLB has. Even thought I am guilty of using the expanded emoticons over on PLB I say leave that capabitity over there as it just gets annoying after a while

Critical update to the joiner fee!!!!! I was bringing my 2nd LB for the night and was told that after 10:00 there was a one thousand baht joiner fee!!! I informed the man that I had been bring in guest all week after this time witout the fee. He said that was an error and I should have been charged. I got the fee waived for this one time knowing I was checking out the next morning. So I would get this in writing next time. Excelent hotel except for this one incident and this hotel will go into the banned catagory unless this is untrue and we had a bad nightman. I will call ahead of time before booking again

Yes I agree with LULT, Soi 6 is the place to be. First night I walked past Nana because I was not expecting it to be that close and yet hotel isolated in ally (Soi 6). You will have to take LULT's word on being allowed GG as all I dring back is LB 's two at a time. The staff does not bat an eye and they now take their ID. Some of the Arabs and a few others have given me and my LB'S the eye but I show them what I think by kissing them in these moments.

LULT, I owe you one for recomending the Grand Sukhumvit. Just spent my first night on their special and was also given a free upgrade to a suite w kithen living room and bedroom. Have no idea why. Sweet hotel/room(s)/location. The info on this forum rocks. . Got in town just in time for 1 drink at cascades before the 2am parade. Met 2 hot little FL'ers, Emy and Jane, and will post some pics when I return. Quick note as I'm doing on iPhone. Special thanks to slamman and bigmic, all you info has prepared me well and it is much apprecited! There is so much talent here that I might throw away that list that I'm still not keeping. Yea, you would think that hotels would wave the joiners fee for the first guest, I think most do, but to charge for the first is just bad business. I was thinking of staying at the new Holiday inn Pattaya as it is brand new with really good views but when a BM reported of joiners fee for the first guest I quickly scratched it off the list. We have a BM, billy, on the LBP site that stays at the Sunshine hotel, in Pattaya, as it allows as many guests as you care to bring back with out charge or raised eyebrow. Very tempting but I'm still learning to deal with one at a time. Good advice above from LB experts LULT and Bigmick.

So thats where you took your Nataile/Nicole lookalike. You see what I mean about them wanting more money when they find out where your staying! As I recall she, originally, wanted an exorbitant amount. Thanks again for the heads up on this. p.s. Also in negotiations with August suites in Patts for second leg of trip on your recommendation.

LULT, Thanks for posting this. I had 5 days booked at the Darwin in December but decided to cancel it and book this, Grand Sukhumvit, as it looks to good to pass up. This will be about the same price for what looks like quite a bit of upgrade. I'm just worried the LB/gg's will think I have money now and try to charge me more.

I know a little about Patts and nothing about BKK so places like this, marco polo, that I might have passed by I will now recognize and go in. Slam Man, Thanks for posting this. This is just the kind of thing thats so obvious to the seasoned LOS traveler and not to those of us on our first trip(s). I hate that feeling when you know your being ripped off but don't what your options are so you just pay it until you find someone that can set you straight. I thought I was going to go to Pattaya right away and got some good advice form Billy69 on taking the bus from the airport but have decided to stay a few days/week in BKK to find Netty and Cartoon and some others before heading off to Pattaya so this advice will come in handy.

Slam Man, Thanks for the info on dentistry. We hear a lot about medical tourism to Thailand here in the States but, always nice to hear a first hand account. Like your side note too.. interesting idea.
