  1. I had the same thoughts ... prices had definitely gone up since covid.

I stayed a couple of nights at Landmark when I was there in September and from memory, the prices worked out to be reasonably similar.

There were a couple of things I didn't love about Landmark - 1. it was incredibly busy 2. security is lax - anyone can walk in off the street and straight up to your room.

But for convenience and central to NEP, Cindy's and CIB, landmark is pretty hard to beat.

  2. Hi guys,

Looking forward to making my first post covid trip in July/August.

Can anyone tell me what has happened to Dynasty Grand?

Is it closed for renovations or just permanently closed?

If anyone on the ground in BKK can let me know, it would be much appreciated!

Been staying here for past week. building 1 , closest to front desk/Soi 6 is being renovated.  Very light construction noise during the day.

Looks like they are almost finished. Some rooms on upper floor already have beds and curtains. Now installing lights on balconies.

Still need to tile the balcony floors. Should be done by end of October... maybe.

I always liked this hotel...  enjoyed my stay....

thanks for the post - I've always like the DG.  very convenient and clean and the staff are very good from the experiences I have had.  quick check in, clean, nice rooms, gym and pool.

  4. Yeah great hotel but I found the pool doesn't get much sun and the water was freezing.

Agree 100% re not enough sun.

It isn't the most appealing pool area to laze away an afternoon and work on the tan.

It is a shame because it is so close to Nana and guest friendly ... it's a conundrum!

  5. Grateful for the post.

Grateful for some of the candid responses with people sharing their experiences without preaching.

I'm one of those who has chanced the consequences and gone in bareback.

used every excuse in the book to justify why to myself - she was gorgeous! It was the heat of the moment. I've been with her before. she doesn't look sick (idiotic x2). It's hard to get infected.

Now it's 3 weeks later, I'm home again, picked up a cold or tonsillitis (I'm praying) and waiting for results of my blood test to come back.

Idiots never learn. I've been an idiot.
