hotel private access/ discreet entrance

Recommended Posts

Good day gentlemen, Over the years ive stayed at countless hotels in Bangkok and Pattaya, and found my experiences to be better at a hotel with discretion. Specifically a private entrance or backdoor entrance. This has nothing to do with shame of being seen with a ladyboy but just my dislike for nosy people and gossiping, smirks and talking behind someones back that sort of thing. Can anyone lead me to a few hotels in Bangkok where i could avoid these scenarios. Any help would be most appreciated, I also suspect there are other fellows in the same boat as me for various reasons.

To get the ball rolling, ive stayed at le fenix hotel on soi 11, they have an elevator that bypasses reception, but it wasnt the most discreet scene because there were a handfull of security guards, tuk tuk drivers, motorbike drivers and hotel patrons congregated at the ground level waiting area. Not to mention its awkward location, at the end of soi 11. A ways from suhkumvit.

this has been discussed inumerable times on the sister forum, and probably here too.

regardless of your intentions, many hotels follow the laws set down for hotels that require every guest to be registered. the number one reason is safety in case of a fire or some other calamity. this is the primary reason why most hotels ask for the "joiners" ID/TH Card.

another reason is if it is a hotel that charges a joiners fee, they want to get it.

but most importanlty, any decent hotel will take the ID so that the girl most go and retrieve it. then they will call the room to see if you know she is leaving, and if you are OK with that. this gives you a chance to check your belongings, etc and if there is anything wrong like a missing cell phone, laptop, wallet, passport, empty mini-bar, etc, they will hold her at reception for you.

they also want to make sure you are still alive and well. that may sound over the top, but too many crazy episodes over the decades with girls and guys fighting or worse.

granted, all of this negates what you are trying to accomplish.

needless to say every hotel/guesthouse is different, and they all apply the rules as they choose (or whoever is on duty chooses), and the interactoin with the staff and other guests that may be around can be aggravating if they choose to offer their opinion of your choice of partner.

when i worked the hotels in Pattaya back in the day as a department head, there was a security guard that was found to be harrassing the guests with joiners. he was not only being an impolite ass-hat, he was telling them they had to pay a joiners fee, and he would then pocket it. not only was he fired, they changed the security company soon after that.

if what you say is so

you should bite the bullet and make sure the girls register. its for your own safety, and it really can keep the crazy drunk/high thieving ones in check. most of all, it will be a great deterent to theft.

Well said . Oh & thats a crazy avatar lol

For the record, i used the search engine and didnt find the information I was looking for, one hotel popped up, the hansar, but at 200 + dollars a night i thought it was an over indulgence, as im only in Bangkok for 3 or 4 days before I fly to isan.

Lohas Suites on Soi 2 has a back entrance leading to Soi 4 and you can walk to the lifts without passing the lobby or reception if you are in the building nearest Soi 4. Even if you are in the main block you can walk to the lifts without too much attention if thats whats you want.

I think many 5* hotels also offer discretion. The Marriott on Soi 2 doesn't take a girls ID and after 11PM the door on the left can only be opened by keycard and you can walk to the lifts quite discretely.

Up to you if you want discretion. Personally I don't think the hotel taking a girls ID card really protects me from anything and I prefer hotels where it's optional. I usually only barfine from Bars or contact girls I already know on LIne so I don't brink back freelancers I meet on the street.

I´ve stayed a lot at LeFenix Soi 11 over the years. Recently moved because of the take over with indian groups, but it´s great and cheap for discreet entrance if u order from CL, TF or lb´s you know. The reception will (sometimes) take the ID and call. Recently there was no need for keycards so a lot of my girls just came right up. Personally, I do like some security. Then again, Hilton Sukhumvit don´t take the girls ID but make u come down and get the girls at the lobby.

Also stayed at Hyatt, there are a night club at the basement entrance so not so discreet. And if u stay at Club room level they have to walk past the counter there.

lb_beginner you really hit the nail on the head there with that second line, im quite fed up with the lower suhkumvit area, its a magnificent stew of arabs and indians, i tend to keep to myself while i suffer through a few nights in bangkok, it suits me just fine to call a few girls and keep a low profile. on my last trip i booked a hotel a ways from the action. on suhkumvit but about 5 stops on the rail from nana, id just call a girl at meet them at the 711 downstairs then wed take the elevator up to my room, fast painless no hassle, incognito. its a beautiful thing

Are you referring to the JW Marriott? I can't seem to find the entrance you are referring to. There is a door facing Soi 2 (closer to Sukhumvit) that appears to be cordoned off. Or are you referring to the restaurant entrance towards Sukhumvit?

Yes. JW Marriott. The main entrance on Soi 2 has a door at the left and a door at the right. The door on the left is closed and unmanned after 11 but guests can open it with their keycard. The door on the right is always manned and brings you right in front of the concierge desk.
