Majestic Suites (updated 2015)

Recommended Posts

Do they have any rooms with a view of Nana?>

Neo

Crap pic but you can see the other end too.

Rooms on one side give you the view of NEP and the otherside which I have only stayed give you a view of Sukhumvit. During the day you can see quite clearly. They are tinted so at night you can't make out much beside the lights otherwise you would be able to see the alcocarts.

I've seen some other photos or the rear view. The higher floors offer a better perspective. They also keep the surplus water bottles just up the top floor steps. I had to pinch some extra a few of those dry days. :D

the floors are really slippery when you get out of the shower, I was in a hurry to get to the airport, taxi downstairs, slipped my foot went under the door and I went over side ways, broke my foot.

Had to spend the next 4 days with my foot up in the casino in Cebu

I stayed here mostly during my April trip. Pricey but for the location a win win.

I stayed in this hotel for couple of days, the room was nice and it was not to bad. The wi-fi worked fine without the problem and breakfast was good.

Staff was friendly and helpful. There was no problem bringing the lb ladies most of the night. The check the IDs at the entrance and when they leave un-attend they give us a call to check if there was any problem. It was great stay. I will stay here again for next trip,

I had to stay at Majestic Suites for one night and I will never stay there again. It was terrible.

The problem is that when on business the company puts you up in mostly 5 star hotels and most of the times have colleges who have no idea of this side of things. So when I pay I stay at the smaller hotels where there is more freedom.

By the way I have never met small children running about in the Aspen while I have seen them every time I have stayed at Majestic Grande.

The downside is a lot of Thai hotels do not have a guest program like the international hotels. I don't know why they don't introduce it so that it makes it easier for the check in if for nothing else.

Late reply, but please explain "terrible" regarding ur stay? Its not a 5star, but a quality stay at best.

The security was nasty and the reception was extremely unhelpful in every sense.

The room I got was very small and so was the bathroom. I had no where to even put my suitcase.

The food was decent and the only helpful person was the bellboy who helped with the suitcase to the other side of the road to get me taxi.

Stayed at this hotel back in March (2015). Over all me experience was good. Suited my needs, close to the action and very helpful staff (receptionist and bell-boy were nice), Only down side is the room size, felt a little claustrophobic.

Stayed there twice and liked it both times. I also like the fact the staying at Majestic Suites gives you access to the fitness center and pool of Majestic Grande.

Have stayed there twice.

POSITIVES:

1) LOCATION -can't get any better, just around the corner from Nana Plaza, and stones throw away from Check In Bar and Chaos 9/Paradise.

2) PRICE - dirt cheap

3) CLEAN - acceptable cleanliness level.

4) BREAKFAST - it's okay, nothing special, and very small table area.

5) STAFF - I've found reception staff to be very pleasant. Security guard at door ? Don't wake him.

6) ACCESS TO MAJESTIC GRANDE'S POOL AND WORKOUT ROOM - it's a short walk down the block.

NEGATIVES:

1) SMALL ROOMS - claustrophobic or matchbox would be accurate terms. For that reason, the only two times I stayed here was during my virgin trip to LOS, and another time when I was arriving at 11:30pm or so and leaving the next morning at 8:30am (business).

Otherwise, spend a few extra bucks and stay at Dynasty Grande on Sukumvit Soi 6 or one of the other BM-recommended hotels on here.

I stayed there in October.

I found it a good hotel to stay. The best thing was the location. The staff - especially the short haired receptionist on in the evening, were very helpful and friendly.

When I arrived they didn't have the room I ordered ready so they upgraded me for one night (nice) then the next day they moved me to the standard room I ordered. Not too small. I had a lot of fun in that room (Fiat and Everest). I would recommend the place!

I used to stay at Majestic all the time when I first started travelling to Bangkok. I became very friendly with all the ladies that worked there, and we are still friends and remain in touch.

It is not cheap, and when you are drunk it has the worst key system ever to unlock your door......

My main complaint, and one of the reasons why I rather stay at Nana now, is simply there is no place for the cabs to stop safely.

I have been dropped off on the other side of Sukhumvit, down Soi 4, in the petrol station etc, and it was a pain when I had my big suitcase to manage this, when the streets/roads where busy.

Nana is just more convenient for me.

I used to stay there all of the time as well as it has a great location.

I moved to On8 as it was just more modern.

I agree about the staff. They were/are it's best asset.
