YOu can get a free SIM card At the airport by downloading a QR code fro AIS 1-2 call, or on the Thai Tag app. https://www.ais-amazingthailandsim.com https://www.tagthai.com/content/p/get-a-free-tourist-sim-card-and-special-exchange-rate-with-tagthai-starter-pass Not sure if you can extend the validity, but it's good for 7 days with 8GB free to start. You can download the thai tag app before going to Thailand. Same with the registering for the AIS SIM card.
