Hotels in BKK

If you are looking for a hotel with decent size rooms, good beds, service and bathrooms that are cleaned and towels changed every day in a central location then Dynasty Grande on Soi 6 fits the bill. No breakfast available and the pool is a little shaded. But plenty  alternatives around for food.  Currently at 2:5 Baht a night

I know this adds very little to the conversation - but my method of madness is the value i get from the lounge access. Hilton on 22 is approx. £120 per night but with status i get lounge access. I estimate i drink (mainly) and eat £50 per session. So i got ‘the flavour’ before i go out-out.. That brings it down in my head to £70 a night,  bargain! 
 
i also like the Park Plaza on 18, for £75 a night you can grt one of their 3 suites (vv large). The sofa/sitting area, office area and walk in shower just allows for more ‘diverse action’ and the option to keep the  bed ‘sleepable’. 

Platinum member with Accor. I do the same made a deal at 2700thb a night all year long and have free booze and food in the lounge between 17 and 19.00h
Free breakfast 1 hour meeting room. And afternoon tea and fre minibar and nespresso
So really interesting especially when on a combo business/leisure

Too many like that on this forum mate.....a very small minority that regularly reply and post,  but a vast majority that come and go or just lurk in the shadows.

Well, he can focus on low-budget options. A week in BKK at a decent 35 USD a night hotel like CItrus and a 1500 streetwalker a night for a week doesn't sound all that bad. Maybe a splurge on one night at CIB just for the experience. Even if you stay on a tight food budget you can eat well (if you like Thai food). 

I'm fortunate enough that I can afford to take this up a few notches and enjoy what BKK has to offer. But personally, I do like to save on hotels if I am not going for work. I usually stick with boutique hotels at 40-50 USD a night and if I am in town for a shorter period or want to treat myself, a place like S15 or the Continent (my favorite - awesome views, great pool, nice top floor bar, and lovely staff - but terribly long elevator waits though) at 80 to 100 USD. Save my money for the girls and bars.  

One important detail I always look for is that there is a mirror close to the bed so I can get a nice third-person view of the action. I wish more hotels had mirrors above the bed too.

Never occured to be that some hotels could be guestfriendly but not ladyboy friendly so thx for that catch. Been coming to BKK for 20 yrs but only for girls but will try lb next time so researching now

I only stay at Majestic Suites Sukhumvit Bangkok in BKK, I think that it is the best hotel in Nana area, cuz very very good location, very clean room & no problem for lb.
Remark: the air condition is too cold, I need to turn it off when sleeping!!!

to the landmark:
When will the renovation be completed? It takes forever. The old terrace facing the street was great.

 

Club Members:
In my experience, the gym is free for club members. Just like the breakfast on the 31st floor and the free happy hour. Also if you need more towels, no problem. I need more than 3 pieces. Check out the photos of the Premium Club Room, with freestanding bathtub.
 
Taking LBs with you is no problem.Try the steakhouse at the top. Very expensive but great.

What hotels can the ladies go straight to take the lift without using a card, just by pressing the buttons?
and
Avoid passing by reception?. For example, I know a hotel that is not centrally located, and the entrance is by the car park. Basically, anyone can go upstairs without a card. and knock the room

At the Aria Hotel you can enter the door and hang a left then a right. There is an elevator that is well away from the reception desk.

I've a friend staying there. He told me that one of the night. One lady of the night got stopped, and reception asked her to leave.
I do believe him as he is a police officer.

So, other alternatives?

Did you hear of any problems with guest taking girls up to the room themselves? I've got a room booked at the Aira for September, but can still cancel if this would be an issue...

Well, kind of yes, because the girl could not get in. I think she was Filipina as they were speaking in English and clearly lady of the night

Staying at the Aira from the 21st July for the first time. I have only a few days left to cancel. Anyone else heard of problems bringing someone to the room? King Seti do you know that route to the lift as you were taking someone back there?

I was an idiot just posting the reply just now. I should have gone to the Booking.com website and read the replies the Aira hotel gives to questions they receive. They clearly state that guests are welcome to the room but must leave ID with reception. The girl turned away may have been trying to sneak in without ID.

In those hotels, I went to see FL to their room and could use the lift without any card and go to their room directly without talking to reception:

- The promenade on Soi 8

- Citichic by iCheck inn on Soi 13

- Le Fenix on Soi 11

 

I do not know if I could just go by because I am a Falang and if the girls could do the same. No need for keys for the elevator though.

Just walk in the doors up front and take a left by the concierge desk and take a right and head that way for a little bit and there will be an elevator to your right. I took Kate from CIB this way to my room.  Completely bypassed the reception desk.

I think it’s a good thing that the hotel staff check all ID Cards! You don’t really know the lady’s.

In the Solitaire it’s possible without ID Card too. It’s in Sukhumvit 11…perfect Service for my guests all the time!

Staying at the Kimpton on a stay 3 pay 2 offer. 100 USD of dining/drinks credit included, upgrade, late check out, breakfast etc.

never stayed there but walked over to it before.  Crap location to get to and from.
