Anyone tried this hotel? Seems like a great location for mongering

I have stayed there a few times. Once when they first opened, then a couple times a few months later.

Overall, it is a good hotel with clean new-ish rooms. Also good service staff; very friendly. One ongoing problem that I had was that there was a severe bad smell on the 8th floor where the pool and gym are. I don't know if this was ever solved, but it was the case for at least 6 or 8 months. It was unbearable and prevented me from utilizing an otherwise nice gym and pool.

There is a great rooftop bar (called Pastel) that has great views of Soi 11. You pay for it in the overpriced drinks, but still worth a look.

Overall, I still recommend this hotel to friends. Even just for the unbeatable location. It's a great value compared to Mercure just 100m down the soi. Hope that helps!

Sounds perfect for mongering , but read booking.com reviews first would be my advice

Any recent stays at this hotel? Looking at staying here next time round. I see they have no issue with guests, does anyone know if that extends to multiple guests? Thanks in advance.

I've never had trouble bringing multiple guests (two at a time) into AIRA. However, this was over a year ago, and they have since opened a rooftop nightclub on the top floor (called Pastel), and ever since they seem to be a little bit strict with security stationed at the elevators. So I'm not sure if it is as lax as it used to be. YMMV!

In September, after 7 long years, I'll finally be returing to Bangkok and have booked a room at Aira, pricing seems to be very good for the quality, if the reviews on Google, Tripadvisor and Booking are to be believed. I've sent an email to the hotel to ask about their current guest policy. They are guest friendly, including for ladyboys with no joiner fees. Should also extend to multiple guests. They do mention that the ID of any guests will be checked at the reception for security.

Aira Hotel Bangkok - Solid choice with light and shade. My stay at the Aira Hotel Bangkok was pleasant overall, although there were a few points that could be better. The hotel is very centrally located, which is perfect for exploring the city. A short walk to the trendy LB bars only-it is ideal.
At first glance, the furnishings appear high-quality, modern and appealing, even if the public areas seem cramped - which is not unusual in a city hotel.

My room, a Jacuzzi corner room on the 17th floor, was surprisingly spacious and offered a great view over the city. The facilities were well thought out, with a Jacuzzi and a large bathroom. However, the cleanliness could have been a little more thorough, especially in the details. The beds were large and comfortable, but the towels were not always of the best quality - sometimes soft and comfortable, sometimes rather worn, washed out and gray.

Another negative point was the room climate: the air in the room was quite humid and sometimes smelled a little musty, which detracted from the feel-good factor. Overall, the hotel made a clean impression, even in the public areas, although there was still room for improvement.

I found the check-in to be positive, which was handled for my room category on the quieter second floor - pleasantly away from the hustle and bustle of the lobby. However, you shouldn't expect personal service here, as the hotel is more geared towards efficiency.

One point that bothered me was the elevator situation. I had to wait a long time, especially during peak times, for example at breakfast, which was extremely annoying. The organization seemed chaotic, the quality and taste of the food was rather below average, and the breakfast room was far too small for the many guests and therefore very cramped.

Booking the lounge was also not really advantageous and hardly any added value.
The rooftop bar was a real highlight for me. Although the prices are somewhat higher, as is usual in such bars, the quality of the food and drinks was really good and the selection was impressive. Positiv is the smal smoking area in this bar. The spectacular view of the Bangkok skyline is a highlight.

The hotel is also guest friendly, I never had a problem with my LB friends.

Stayed here a few times in 2024 and as others have said the rooftop bar is great. I also liked the gym which is well equiped and large, it's located on the same level as the pool with is also good.

Agree with Transpo -  the elevators are about as slow as I've ever experienced in a hotel, there is however a third elevator around the other side near concierge as you enter the lobby.

Breakfast is fairly average. Location is good being halfway down Soi 11, a short walk to the BTS.

In addition to the elevators: you cannot take the two main elevators to the 22nd floor, Pastell Rooftop Bar. There is no information that you have to switch to the side elevator.
