Hhrryyuu 74 #1 Posted November 8, 2021 Trying to make a Test and Go reservation at Mercure on Soi 11. Price is 4,700 Baht for a 24 hour Test and Go stay, but the reservation process seems slightly suspicious. Cant’ make a reservation through their normal system. I entered my information on their website, mercurebangkoksukhumvit11.com, and they emailed me back saying I can pay with a transfer to a bank account or by sending picture of both sides of my credit card. They also requested a copy of the photo page of my passport and vaccination card (I understand why they would need this). The reservation process just seems sketchy and seems like a great opportunity for identity theft. Anybody have any luck making a Test and Go reservation and was the reservation process similar? Edisto 419 #2 Posted November 8, 2021 Try another hotel like the Solitaire up the street. It's only for (hopefully) one night..... 1 oliver17 reacted to this
oliver17 10,492 #3 Posted November 8, 2021 I made a test and go reservation at Novatel BKK airport hotel for upcoming December trip. Novotel is 5 minutes from the airport. The reservation process itself was just like any other hotel reservation - just make sure you select the "Wellness" package per below. It costs 4900 baht and the breakfast buffet option is another 500 baht. They didn't ask for passport info or anything else except airline arrival time for their shuttle service. They told me they have testing available 24 hours a day and will have results 6 hours later. Because I am arriving near midnight, I will be getting the test and hopefully will have the results when I wake up the next morning. If there are any hitches or hassles, I will be reporting them here. 6 1 mikel, Edisto, mike746 and 4 others reacted to this
Hhrryyuu 74 #4 Posted November 8, 2021 Awesome. Novotel seems like a better option.
cbfmech 1 #5 Posted November 11, 2021 Awesome. Novotel seems like a better option.I booked a test and go with Solitaire. I arrived to Bangkok on a late midnight flight (11/8), there was a hotel rep that meets you after baggage claim, he then took me outside to the van which took me to the hotel, checked in around 1am. Was quite late, so I did not take the COVID test until 7:30am in the morning. Got my negative result around 7pm, and I was on my way to anywhere I wanted to go. The only issue I had was FOOD…. If you are arriving on a late flight like next, better bring food!!! Instant ramen bowl at least. If not, whatever food you have when you arrive will be extremely cold, as they bring dinner around 8pm. Overall though… not bad for around $120 USD.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 lb_beginner reacted to this
Long John 1,039 #6 Posted February 13, 2022 I am trying to organize things for my Laos gf to travel to Pattaya. The flight is ok. Laos to BKK. She cannot travel across the bridge and get a flight from Udon, (about 25% of the other flight Laos to BKK. Crazy Thai logic. They think it keeps the rif raf out!. Anyway, it is what it is. Olivers suggestion of the Novotel sounds ok. I stayed there on my first visit to Thailand. The most she would stay is 24 hours. Would get to the hotel at about 10pm. Take the test, then could leave the next day. Any other ideas?

I'm booked with Mercure Soi 11. Process has been really good so far. My flight has been changed a few times and each time they quickly changed the hotel confirmation document. I used Wise (Transferwise) to transfer the money to their account. Got my Thailand Pass already so they are good at confirming your booking as well. This booking is under the new process rules?, Day-1+Day-5?, did you book both days at Mercure
Long John 1,039 #9 Posted February 13, 2022 This whole process is confusing. So if my gf stays one night at Novotel near Suvi airport, has a test then moves to Pattaya after a day, she then has another test 5 days later at a certified hotel in Pattaya?. She now tells me she has not found her old Thai visa card from 2 years ago. If she does not find it I wonder what she has to go through to be allowed in?. Knobby 210 #11 Posted February 19, 2022 I was looking on Agoda last week, They show some hotels in Bangkok that offer the whole package for the 1st-day test (including taxi, food, etc etc) So I booked the Lancaster and a decent size room. I sent them a message saying my flight comes in at 7 am and will need collecting soon after. I got a message back saying they wanted another 3000 Baht? I called bullshit and cancelled on Agoda and sent them a message of complaint.

It seems that All ASQ have to be done directly through the hotel webpage. I booked through https://asq.in.th which just links directly to the hotel and the rest is done through email. My hotel, Mövenpick soi 15, sent me a direct payment link, a secure visa payment site. The hotel asked for all the same documents that Thailand Pass required. A bit weird but knowing Thailand and their obsession with documentation I did it. No identity theft yet. This was in November Pickup at airport was a bit chaotic and unorganized. But got a van eventually. Stay and food in hotel ok, PCR cleared after 8-9 hours. Paid 6400THB including 3 meals. Their new prices starting at 5200 including breakfast, and they confirm by email now that the test results will be delivered 8 hours after. No express service like Hyatt Place, Mercury and others. Soi 15 is a major hangout for lbs/gg escorts. When my PCR cleared I walked around waiting for my regular massage lady to be available. Unsure if allowing girls at the hotels I smuggled her up to the room. Needed that 2 hour handjob w/kiss session to go as planned. Food was good, I only ordered the Thai curry dishes. Drawback is no balcony. 8 hours daytime felt really long. Can't imagine doing 14 days locked up in a room. Kudos to those who did!! 1 Popeye66 reacted to this

That's consistent with my experience. All the hotels I looked into required direct contact with the hotel for ASQ bookings. The hotels had information about the ASQ bookings on their own websites but required that I book the reservation via email with their reservation service rather than through their online systems. It seems that Agoda and other booking services cannot provide the documentation required to complete the Thailand Pass application process. 1 lb_beginner reacted to this
