Check Airfares for 2022

Recommended Posts

Hi Members,

I just looked on Thai Airways web site to book May 2022.

Air fares have jumped from $800 to $1600 AUS.

My ticket was purchased in 2020 then extended to Dec 2021 then extended again to Dec 2022.

Anyone else experiencing this?

It will be a very long time before we get back to cheap airfares again!

Crazy numbers,
I got a fare of 450$ from Paris to BKK next month.
Absolute bottom prices in Europe.
A friend flying from Belgium, has a similar rate.

Flying emirates.

If you want to keep that smile going check out the prices of some of the premium Hotels in BKK!

oh yes 100%.
For mongering though, I much prefer condo's. I feel more free without staff around me and ID checks :-)

Thanks Mikel,

I will check Sky Scanner.

When I checked Thai Airways their fares had increased 100% in Aus Dollars.

Planed on travelling in May 2022 Brisbane to Bangkok.

Sky Scanner is correct if I depart from Sydney and not Brisbane.

If you really want to fly Thai then keep an eye on Malai Travel's Facebook page. They often post cheap deals for the Thai community but be quick they sell out fast. (They're based in George st Sydney near Thaitown but get nationwide deals)

Pray tell, what is a multi shindig?.

A shindig is slang for a party.

A multi shindig means more than 1 guest.

Some hotels charge joiner fees for more than 1 guest. (Top tip, whenever you book a hotel room always book for 2 people, so that covers the first 'guest').

So if you rent a condo this wouldn't be an issue, but if you wanted to take 3 LBs back to your hotel, then you may get charged for 2 additional joiners.

Thailand has loosened quarantine regulations and is reopening to vaccinated passengers from a number of nations and territories, offering a much needed boost to the country's struggling tourism economy. So, yes. I would say that you should plan your 2022 Thailand trip.
