    Hey @gottalove, there's a recent thread here:

I had initially booked at the hotel just because it was right next to CIB 10, but decided against it.

Though the rooms look quite nice, I'd say the space is small, and I feel that price-wise, you'll find bigger rooms elsewhere.

During my stay in Bangkok, I opted for a bigger room at the Solitaire on Soi 11, which at the time, wasn't as expensive as booking at Hotel 433.

Thanks @jaredblanc, but the Solitaire is too far out for my liking, it's a fair old stroll down Soi 11 to get to the Suk junction.

The main reason for booking here is due to the room having a balcony, then for it's location, being pretty much central to everywhere I'd like to go, although if I were to take a girl form WN04, the taxi back will be a right pain in the ass by the looks of things.

I also booked direct, it was less than half the price on Agoda, and I can cancel up to 3/4 days before my arrival.

Not many places seem to have a balcony, unless you book a suite or similar, and costs jump considerably.

I had looked at Parkroyal on Soi 6, whilst reasonably priced, they seem pretty strict on their non smoking policy, even on the balcony!

Does anybody have any recommendations for somewhere pretty central, that also has a smoking friendly balcony?

  2. Hey all, I've just booked a room here, can't find any reviews here, although reviews elsewhere appear to be pretty good. I was looking for a reasonably priced place with a balcony, and this ticked the boxes for me. It's pretty much 10 minutes to everywhere.

Any one out there stayed here? Or heard anything about the place?

It is backing onto CIB10, so should come in quite handy, hopefully. Not sure which direction my balcony will face, so I may also have an interesting view in the evenings.

I'm flying with them in a few weeks. I booked best part of a year ago when they had just announced the route and the prices were incredibly low.

A friend has flown a different route with them and was happy with the experience if that helps...

Thanks for the info, would love to hear your feedback after your trip too.

Out of curiosity, as there are so many options, which options did you go for? Mind sharing the cost too?

  4. Hey all, has anybody taken the plunge and travelled with this carrier?

I've just checked out some return flights for the end of '26, flying premium economy, includes 2 meals, free standard drinks, 15kg carry on, and 23kg(?) check in, is coming in just shy of £1,100. Plus, at present, they have a Christmas sale on, via buy a gift card, £1,100 voucher for, £1,000.

Seems very good value for money, I think that I may very well take the plunge, but always good to hear of peoples experiences.

Having taken 5 to do a comparison, EVA are nearly £2,000, I've not checked others yet, as I'd prefer to fly direct.

Thanks for the info @taaseesanuk. I've never stayed at Dawin myself. I'm afraid I'll be doing nothing else than crossing the road 2 times a day when I do :D

But I had dinner there a few weeks ago and it was excellent. This is what I wrote in my TR:

Also for dinner a tried a new place, being the Dawin hotel, opposite Why Not. I felt like sneaky stalker, sitting on their terrace, but their food is awesome. I had a spicey spaghetti with bacon and banana fritters with ice-cream as dessert :P  For sure worth a recommendation!

And indeed, bang opposite of Why Not bar :o:

Cracking viewing point, I was next door in the SM Grande Residence, my view was a tad skewwhiff, but more discreet I believe
