  1. It's probably a long shot, but I'm asking anyway... I'm looking for information and leads on the following three "Thai Thai" nightlife areas: - Cocowalk, - Udom Suk Rd. and - Srinakarin One possibly interesting Thai style nightlife area could be Srinarakin Road I think. The Railway weekend night market (Talad Rot Fai) on Sri Nakarin Road near Paradise Park Mall as well as Seacon Square Mall looks intriguing - at least on Google images... I've found out already that the market days are Thursday to Sunday evening. Apart from the market stalls, there are also some western style bars there it seems... Has anyone an idea if one can find (pro or non-pro) girls (LB or GG) there? I guess Flip Club (on the "other" side of the two big malls) is not really an option to meet lbs? Srinakarin is close to Suvarnabhumi airport and there are a few international hotels nearby. I'm looking at the Dusit Princess as a potential place to stay either the night after arrival or before a flight out of BKK. So getting there would be by cab I expect. Has anyone been there, i.e. at the Sri Nakarin railway market and/or the Dusit Princess or has anyone otherwise knowledge of the (LB/GG) nightlife scene there? Another nightlife area I'm looking at that is apparently mainly set up for the locals is Udom Suk Rd. Since the opening of the BTS station there a few years ago, it appears it has now become accessible even if you're staying far away, e.g. in the Sukhumvit area. Apparently "many" foreigners have bought or rented condos in this area, particularly since the opening of the BTS station. So there might be at least some foreigner friendly nightlife there, right? Udom Suk ist just 3 BTS stations from On Nut... I know that there are some naughty massage parlours around Udom Suk near the Sukhumvit end and there's at least one ST hotel, Hotel Udomsuk, where streetwalkers (apparently LB & GG) go to with their clients... I've also learned from a Google search that the road is very long and that the bars and restaurants are scattered throughout the road. However there's apparently a cluster of (hostess) bars and karaokes between Sois 49 and 51 and further up toward Srinakarin. One hostess bar is called Ting Ting: Another one is called Lan La karaoke. Obviously also a hostess bar. Another potentially interesting bar I guess could be Fifty Five bar . Rao Cocktail lounge even has an interesting video on their homepage: I assume those aforementioned hostess bars are mostly GG places? From the little experience I have gained so far in LOS, I figured out that where there is a p4p GG place there's often (though not always) a lb or two mixed in or at least not far away... Getting there from BTS Udom Suk on foot is not recommended I guess? Are cabs available (and willing) to get you from the BTS station to Soi 51 or other alleys with bars? On Stickman, there's an older report on the Udom Suk karaoke / hostess bar scene. The 'Midnite Hour' has also reviewed the area in the past. Has anyone explored the (GG or LB) nightclub scene there? What about the streetwalker scene? Is it worth the effort or does Udom Suk, well, suck? A third area I'd like to give a shot sometime is Cocowalk, or better "Co Co Walk" - to avoid confusion... Of the three areas mentioned it should be the one that is the most easy to get to. It's located right next to Ratchathewi BTS station, just four stations away from Nana BTS and only three from Phloen Chit BTS... There are some bars with live music and in general, from the images I see on Google, it looks rather "western" to me... Are there any particularly good places to pick up a lb at Co Co Walk? In general - by and large - I do like staying in "tourist town" (Nana/NEP, Phom Phrong, Silom/Patpong, Asok/Cowboy) for its convenience and easy access to all the foreigner oriented (lb) nightlife. However "tourist town" is about as authentically Thai as a Rolex watch bought at the Patpong nightmarket is authentic Swiss made... I therefore like to explore new and more authentic Thai nightlife areas - well, at least once in a while... I've posted this in the general nightlife section. So please feel free to post here anything related to the three areas - and not only related to p4p... Thanks :-)

    COVID-19 Health Issues

    What's your blood group?
  3. I'm wondering how Covid-19 will change the way we travel to Bangkok? Will we all be wearing face masks for the duration of the flight on board in the future? How will the flight attendants' uniforms look like? Scoot Eva Air Philippines Airlines Emirates Sri Lankan I think Will pax also have to wear in-flight protective gear? Will there be one aisle for going to the lavatory and another one for returning to the seat? Instead of a welcome Champagne, will we get some sanitizer bottles? MAS Will the cleaning of the aircraft take much longer than before Corona and will therefore the aircraft turnaround time be a lot higher? Will we be greeted with an infrared thermometer gun when we board the plane? Will the middle seats be blocked or even removed in all cabin classes? Will airline food still be available? Only if it's prepackaged? How much will a ticket cost in the future? More than before Corona? Or less because of the low oil / fuel prices?
  4. Chuvit Garden on Sukhumvit Soi 10, close to Check-in Bar, has come to life again. Since 30 May 2019 you can find the Art Box there. Art Box will be in Chuvit Garden until 30 November 2019. They’re open every day from 3pm to midnight. The Art Box is a mix of outdoor night market, live music venue and food and craft beer places. One can eat and drink there before going to CIB for example... After the demolition of Washington Square with its makeshift gogo bars and other girlie bars in 2003, Chuvit garden became first a public park but was finally closed a couple of years ago. The former owner wanted to build a ****hotel there but then dropped those plans... Thanks :-)
  5. What a shame! Was a good place to spend one night in Bangkok...

    Twitter Videos

Easy-peasy... First step: Get the URL of the video. Second step: to manually embed the video by using the video URL you need an iframe code. Either you know by heart how to write this little sniplet (takes less than a minute...) or you use one of the many free online iframe / embedding tools you find on the internet. Once you've got the iframe code, you copy it and paste it into the HTML editor of this forum. And that's it! Some additional hints: 1. To get the Twitter video URL you can for example use the share button in Twitter. Click on the share symbol (the one with the three dots on the right): On different versions of Twitter (app, mobile, desktop...) the share button may be located in a bit different place... Then click on "Copy link to tweet": You should get the message "copied to clipboard" Paste this link to a URL finder such as for example: https://igeturl.com/ Click on "Get!" Copy and add the URL (the blue one) to the iframe code generator of your choice, such as for example https://embediframegenerator.com/ Click on "Generate" and then on "copy it". 4. Then go to the HTML editor of your forum post by clicking on the "Source" tab (on the left): and there you paste this iframe code: On the desktop version of the forum you can also click on the HTML embed sign to enter / paste the iframe code. Once you've pasted it in the HTML editor you click on the source tab again and you should see a preview of your post: Then click on submit / save or edit. Done! 5. I think the video will be embedded in a HTML 5 player. So if someone still has a browser that only manages HTML 4, he can't see the video and / or get an error message... The full code including the 3 pixel red frame for the video above looks like this: <p> <iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="1" height="400px" marginheight="0px" marginwidth="0px" name="Faye Casanova" scrolling="yes" src="https://twitter.com/i/videos/1229634776291655681?embed_source=facebook" style="border:3px #ff1122 solid;" width="100%"></iframe> </p> The simple code (that also works!!!) looks like this: <iframe height="400px" src="https://twitter.com/i/videos/1229634776291655681?embed_source=facebook" width="320px"></iframe> I know: sounds complicated... ... and cumbersome, but once you've done it a few times it'll take less than a minute to do it... Easy peasy, lemon squeezy... Good luck!

Just a stone's throw away from Monsoon: "On Sukhumvit soi 8, long-running Italian restaurant Via Vai is, as the Italians would say, finito. " https://www.stickmanbangkok.com/weekly-column/2020/09/doctors-nurses/

Arriving In Bkk And Need Taxi?

I usually pay for the toll fees myself, if only to break a 1000 baht note from the ATM machine at the airport. But if you're checking work emails you don't want to be bothered with this nitty-gritty stuff. If he really had paid for the toll fee, he would have been able to produce both receipts... In the old days they only showed the month and day I'm not sure if there's a way to tell at what time the receipt was issued...

    Embedded Facebook videos

Here's a good site that describes how to embed content from the most popular social media sites: https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/embed-social-media-posts-guide Remember that you first have to switch to the HTML editor by clicking on the <>Source tab: Paste the iframe embed code in the HTML editor. Click on <>Source tab again to get back to the rich text editor and there you should see the result. Sometimes, for example embedding Twitter cards or TikTok videos or Tenor GIFs, you first have to submit the post before you see the result, says Chandler Bing... For embedding FB posts and videos, I recommend using a desktop computer instead of the mobile version of this site.
  18. What device, site version, and browser type are you using? Desktop, mobile, iPad, Tapatalk...? Does this video appear correctly in the container here: Or perhaps this one: . The first one is using the post plug-in, the second one the video plug-in code generator. I'm only using the standard Facebook plug-ins: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins For pure video plug-ins this one: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/embedded-video-player/ For post plug-ins this one: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/embedded-posts/

    Embedded Facebook videos

I think the reason your embed link didn't work in the cib thread is that you pasted the iframe code into the rich text editor of the forum and not into the html editor... Try editing your post and paste the iframe code of the Nutty video into the html editor by clicking on the "Source" tab. After you've pasted it there click on the Source tab again (the first tab on the left with the html logo: <>) to return to the rich text editor and the video should now be showing. If it appears to break the screen then this has probably to do with the width in the iframe code. width="650" is too large for smart devices. I usually edit the width parameter down to around 310... ...for desktop computers 650 might be fine however... This is how it'll look if you keep the width at 650: This will be if you set it to 300 and set the scrolling parameter to: scrolling="yes" And this will be the outcome if you reduce the width to 300, allow scrolling, and reduce the height to 280: . Another issue I see is that the porn site you want to embed isn't tmk available in LOS without VPN... Good luck!
  20. Dunno... I think behind Rex 1.0 was a Frenchman, forgot his name. Iirc, the bar has changed ownership or management a good few months ago... They also appear to have a new concept and employ coyote girls now:
  21. I've been walking by the REX a couple of times recently but didn't venture inside as I've never heard of this club before... It's located in a small, dark alleyway around the Trendy building that connects Soi 13 and Soi 15. Address for your Google maps is: 12 Soi Sukhumvit 13 I've seen a Facebook update of one of my favorite LBs today that must've been taken there. So must be lb friendly!! Anyone been there with a lb - or knows otherwise more about the club? https://m.facebook.com/REXBKK/ Using the search function I couldn't find anything. But since it's so close to "our" favorite nightlife spots I cannot believe no BM's been there??? Edit: See now that the club has opened its doors only fairly recently...by "Jean-Marc"...
  22. Yeah, in your pic it says Today @ Soi 8... But I believe it's mainly changed its name from Today @ Soi 8 to Food & Coffee... Perhaps this had something to do with the alcohol ban a few weeks ago... A coffee shop that only sells alcohol - T.i.T. ... Now (pics from late June/ early July) it says Food & Coffee... Perhaps India Today was replaced last year by Today @ Soi 8 which itself was replaced by F&C? Because this picture from inside Today @ Soi 8 from earlier this year looks very much like F&C... Linked public pics from the apparent owner or manager. https://www.facebook.com/Today-soi8-Bar-106990587381673
  23. The new bar seems to be doing fine according to Stickman: "It’s not all bad news on Sukhumvit. One bar which is doing well is the enclosed beer bar at the start of Sukhumvit Soi 8 in the space that was previously the India Today restaurant. Said beer bar has 20 odd girls, a counter to sit and watch the world go by and 80 beers at happy hour. That’s a few good reasons to stop by." https://www.stickmanbangkok.com/weekly-column/2020/07/a-price-war/
