Levels is very "fancy", they won't let you in looking like a scruff, wear long pants too. An LB took me there a few years before Covid, at that time she told me the bouncers limited LB numbers and her little clique was one of the only groups allowed in. It was 250B a beer back then, dread to think what it is now.... I think they have some kind of promotion on some nights where the girls drink free to try and get more girls in there, not sure if LB's qualify too. If you want a cheap night in there, slap on some lipstick and a nice cocktail dress and try your luck.

Centara is a colonial style hotel, a wonderful one obviously. The beach, the town. Good services.
I understand there are also excellent restaurants in Hua Hin, outside the hotel - Everest, indian restaurant, five mins from the hotel, sea-food restaurants in the night market, etc.

Here in Los Angeles, California in the US where I reside they started offering the vaccine to these groups below
Monkeypox vaccine is now available to the following high-risk groups:
Gay or bisexual men and transgender people who had: Multiple or anonymous sex partners in the last 14 days OR (NEW) Skin-to-skin or intimate contact (e.g., kissing, hugging) with persons at large venues or events in the past 14 days. (NEW) Persons of any gender or sexual orientation who engaged in commercial and/or transactional sex in the past 14 days (e.g., sex in exchange for money, shelter, food, and other goods or needs) I am/was past 14 days since I had any direct skin contact with anyone, but given I'm a single guy who's always on the hunt I took the opportunity to get the vaccine especially since I plan to be doing some "high risk" by their standards activity soon lol. I've now gotten my first shot a week ago from today. My arm still is itching, the injection site is a little red, and has a bit of a bump. Now just got to get my 2nd shot 3 weeks from today. I'd rather deal with those vaccine side effects than catch this though. I'd advise anyone else that's here in LA to get it while you can too especially if you like me are hoping to be frolicking with lots of lb and gg between now and the end of 2022.

    Hey lads,
Just landed in the LOS and wanted to get myself tested/hep vaxed/PReP ready. From what I read up on here Pulse seems to be the go to recommendation, but a lot of their prices seemed really high. I searched the local area and Bangkok Safe Clinic (https://www.bangkoksafeclinic.com/) popped up. Pretty easy reservation process on the website, but honestly I showed up almost an hour early and there was nearly 0 wait.
Total bill out the door for PReP lab, Anti-HCV test, consult, Hep B vaccine 1 (it was 900 and you need 3 for the full course), and the premium PReP brand Descovy was 7,200. The Descovy was 2,800, but they had other brands for much cheaper (I think one was 1,000?). I'm not going to be out here for super long anyway, and from what I read the Descovy has a lower chance of bone/kidney side effects. Seemed worth it to be, but cheap mongers could def opt for less.
Anyway, easy to recommend the place. Service was fast and friendly, appointment was easy, and outside of probably the Red Cross or a hospital I don't think you'll get the full service much cheaper anywhere else.

You have read wrong mate. There are many other benefits but whether or not they are useful depends on the individual and their circumstances.
If you looking at the cost alone then sure it is expensive but it comes with the convenience of no border runs for at least 5 years if you don’t want to leave. If you do want to leave you can leave and come back anytime as it is multi entry. Can legally open bank account, get post paid accounts on your mobile and internet etc rather than prepaid. Assistance with Thai drivers license.
Free limo to and from airport. They do your 90 day reporting for you. Large discounts at major stores and duty free which is good for big purchases.
This is not an exhaustive list.

I think the ability to travel will be dictated more by governments than what airlines are saying. For instance, Thailand might say ok for Aussies to visit & airlines offer fares. However if Australia is saying we can’t leave then its fruitless.

    A+ here too.
Trump is spreading half fake news here.
Yes Azithromycin + chloroquine have been effective on small scales with very ill people. Effects have been moderate at best.
Much better medication will be found in the next few months.

Would you want to take meds that could potentially make you sicker (both meds have side effects) when tested only on small samples?
Think of how ill you would need to be for that to sound like a good option.

Some extra info that I found out yesterday, J&J has a HIV vaccine in fase 3 of testing, primary results are looking good. (sorry if this is general knowledge, I didn't know)

Heartbreaking that Gaggan has closed. It was exceptional (although I never felt it was a top 10 in the world restaurant).
I come to BKK frequently, and generally avoid Pattaya. The main reason for preferring BKK is restaurants. BKK has so many fabulous places for food. It's become a foodie vacation destination. Nothing beats having a world-class meal followed by a world-class LB for dessert.

Considering 6 months had passed since our last culinary excursion to Le Normandie, Shyguyuk and I decided last week that it was high time to once again make our way to the Oriental Hotel and indulge in Le Normandie's 8 course Menu Gastronomique accompanied by a Wine Arrangement. I'll let the pics speak for themselves, save to say I needed a nap after this lunch!

The hotel is within walking distance of the Udom Suk BTS station and can therefore be a good location for exploring Udom Suk and Bang Na.
I'm not sure if it's guest friendly though...

I went to register my Rabbit card with passport at Mo Chit a little while back, at the same time that then allowed me to link my Rabbit Card up to be used with LINE pay.
As a result I no longer have to top up credit on my rabbit card now, it deducts the fare straight out of my bank and I get a message on LINE as soon as I swipe out at the station.

I've been walking by the REX a couple of times recently but didn't venture inside as I've never heard of this club before...
It's located in a small, dark alleyway around the Trendy building that connects Soi 13 and Soi 15. Address for your Google maps is: 12 Soi Sukhumvit 13
I've seen a Facebook update of one of my favorite LBs today that must've been taken there. So must be lb friendly!!
Anyone been there with a lb - or knows otherwise more about the club?
    https://m.facebook.com/REXBKK/
Using the search function I couldn't find anything. But since it's so close to "our" favorite nightlife spots I cannot believe no BM's been there???

Edit: See now that the club has opened its doors only fairly recently...by "Jean-Marc"...

I also like going to Bully's pub once in a while. Particularly after a walk in the heat it's a great place for a cold beer in an air conditioned room.
Apart from the usual pub grub, they also serve some quite good local Thai dishes, such as Panang curry with beef for 165B. Khao suay (pretty white rice) +35B.

Excellent WiFi signal and some old fashioned paper newspapers are available for free. Of course they have also several large tellies where you can watch soccer.
