I like to haunt Kingston Suites on Soi 15, close enough to the action but also quiet for some privacy/rest. +cheap

I have a friend that stays there regularly and have stayed once, they went through a renovation of all the rooms just before Covid kicked in. Its old school size wise, and I had no problem with a 'friend' joining me when I stayed a number of years ago.

On my very first couple of trips I stayed at the Banyan Tree which was incredible, from the excellent rooms to the rooftop bar and great restaurants. That was until I realised how far it was from the action, now a much cheaper place on Soi 15 right in the thick of it all.

I have eaten there a couple of times, incredible burgers, homemade pies and great steaks! Well worth a visit.

I have found Uber has worked well to and from DM and around town, less hassle than getting a taxi who uses Meters, cleaner cars and in most cases cheaper.
