Some shots of inside the room. This was a deluxe room which I think are corner rooms. Three windows and a small balcony that could fit one person. Would suit a smoker I guess.

Here are a few photos of where that path lets out on Soi 4 in front of Omni Towers. It's a good set up for Lohas Suites with exposure on both Sois. I priced them out and they were wanting 3,200 baht a night. They cater to Japanese customers judging from the brochures in the lobby.

I just wanted to bump this thread as there was some discussion about it on another thread. It would be good to get some updates on this property. I've posted some photos that reflect the close proximity of Aspen Suites, Solo, and i Check Inn which are all on Soi 2.

I'm going to re-title this thread and update with some more currewnt information. As our hotel expert OTS mention the hotel used to be the Monaco but is now i Check Inn Ploenchit, Soi 2. I'm staying here currently and have to say the deluxe rooms are bigger and a bit nicer than the i Check Inn on Soi 7/1. the only negative so farhas been my internet connection which seems to be okay today. I got the upgrade by booking online and indicating that I was return customer although I never stayed at this i Check Inn property. I was staying at Aspen Suites prior to this which is just a couple doors down, Like the suites this place has a big ass refridgerator, microwave, and tea kettle. Except no tea bags or coffee??? A bit strange. The Nana property has a coffee, tea, and hot chocalte machine in the lobby and this property doesn't. They do have breakfast available which I think is 175 baht. They also have a lounge called the Chill out, which I haven't been to either. I booked an extra day at the desk and got the same rate I got online, which was 1,299 baht after taxes. They have a Tuk tuk that takes you to the end of Soi 2 near Sukhumvit and Ploenchit station. There tuk tuk runs later than Aspen suites I've noticed. Located just after Aspen Suites and Solo hotel on Soi 2. A view from one of three windows in my corner room. Gives you an idea how far down Soi 2 it is. Just down from i Check Inn is an access path at Lohas Suites that goes from Soi 2 to Soi 4 which is quite handy to get to nearest 7/11 and laundy places instead of walking all the way down to Rajah parking lot cut through.

I asked about getting to Soi 4 and someone told me about the short cut. It actually empties out on Soi 4 across from Omni Towers not Dawin. I'm staying at i Check Inn which as you mention was the Monaco. I have to say that I like the rooms better than the Nana location on Soi 7/1

Just some updates on P21 as I'm staying here now. This time I came alone and when I checked in they asked me if I was alone. I told them at that point I will have a friend joining me in the evening. So when I came home that evening with a ladyboy they took her ID at the desk. Then about 10 minutes after we were in the room the called up telling me it was hotel policy to charge 400 for extra person. I told them I had someone joining me when I checked in and make my reservation for 2 people. They backed right down and apologized but be prepared to pay a joiner fee with them. I think they just try to get it when they can. The rooms are light in color which makes for good photography. They also have some good areas to stage some shots with plenty of desk top space and an alcocove. Just to clarify earlier posts. They do not have a lift. The area that looks like where an lift might have gone is actually restrooms on the first floor near the stairs. I advise to book your room on second floor.

I recently stayed at Aspen Suites on Soi 2 using Qantas air points booking through Qantas Hotels. I stayed for one week and found it good for the long stay with the kitchenette and the big refrigerator. I didn't cook anything really except for using the microwave to reheat some things. My friend Steve was staying there for a month and was cooking regularly. I also saw the a BM here when I checked in on the first day. They didn't have a room ready at the early arrival from a flight from Europe. I didn't anticipate that with room sales quite down in BKK. They tried to sell me an upgrade for 700 baht a day but I decided to wait it out. The rooms had plenty of space and closet storage with a safe inside. Bathroom was not cramped. On some days I had to ask to have my room cleaned, but they would clean it late afternoon which accommodated my LT guests. The restaurant was reasonable and had specials for Thai and western dishes. Breakfast wasn't included so I didn't try to get up for that. They have a Tuk tuk to take you down near Sukhumvit on Soi 2. The drivers always asked where I was going like they were going to take me there, but they only take you to the turn around point. So I eventually started answering them the same place your going. The pool was quite narrow and located on the ground floor just outside the restaraunt, which wouldn't give much privacy and would make it difficult to get a LB in for a dip I would imagine. To cut over to Soi 4 you can cut through the rajah parking lot near Guess Bar or you can walk past Aspen Suites to Lohas Suites which has a cut through to Soi 4 which takes you out near Dawin Hotel and the closest 7/11's

I'm not talking about some gnarly freelancers butthole cling ons. Strictly food items or what they consider food. I saw this thread on the sister site and thought it might be good here for the more refined BKKcentric BM's. Mine would have to be those tiny fried birds at Chatachuk Market. Not much meat on the buggers and when I crunched through a bone I just couldn't swallow it and spit it out. The ladyboy I was with tore right through the rest of them devouring them without leaving a bone.

World Inn Price: $25 AUD for one night. I've seen this place on Agoda for as low as $22. Since I was getting in late and only staying one night before heading to Patts, I decided to try this place. For those on the tighter budget this may work out for you. I would say it's just a step above a guest house. It's pretty simple, a little older building. I think they have rooms on both sides of Soi 7/1. I took this photo from my window. The toilet/shower area was clean and the fixtures weren't antiquated. More spacious than many higher priced hotels I've stayed at. That open view shower was a big bonus I didn't expect. You can see the bed is nothing special and those chairs are exactly built for comfort. The bed looks a lot more inviting with a guest. Overall is was great value for $25 AUD and served my purpose well. It's not a place I would want to stay for several nights. At that price I expected less, so I was happy that the place didn't smell, no visable insects, wasn't cramped, clean, and had open shower. Also had the bonus of ladyboys hanging around out front of Hotel trying to lure massage customers. The Soi 7/1 location was handy and it's much closer to the skytrain than soi 4 hotels.

Fred I know that have redone the reception area, and may have done some work on those rooms on that side of the Soi. They have rooms on both sides. They also have the 99 baht breakfast special that goes to 14:00 good enough if to lazy to leave Soi 7/1 and I find myself going to Foodland more for my first meal of the day. I would much rather pay the little extra and it's not much fro i Check Inn just a stones throw from World Inn. Better everything there IMO.

The glass shower with window to the room is a nice bonus. Shower big enough for two. You can always close the shades, but I like to see what they are up to. The glass messes up photos so I have to step into for a shot. Has definitely become my hotel of choice. I'm trying a new property to me this week, then to Chiang Mai but will probably book a room through their site for my remaining days.

I didn't realise she was that tall. I would see her almost daily sitting outside massage shop on Soi 7/1 and was always sitting. I was too mesmerized by her face I reckon. Great to hear performance reports on her as I can easily work her in during a lazy afternoon. Attitude and photo friendly are always big plusses for me.

I found the chips themselves weren't very good. The free chips were a bit bland and the ones in the Nacho Supreme were much better. You really had to spruce them up with the other ingredients.

There is a thread on Taco Sunrise which is a chain. One in Patpong, Pattaya and others. (Click) Not the best tasting chips for nachos, but wide variety of sauces. I like their other menu items personally. Good change of pace from Thai fare I find.

I often crave Mexican just to break up Thai food a bit on longer stays. Baja fish tacos are my favorite, shown here with nachos at Taco Sunrise.

I like both places, but Grand Inn seems to fluctuate in prices more for whatever reason. i Check Inn on Soi 7/1 is better for BTS. One thing I haven't taken advantage of is having a Ladyboy bar right door in Sweetheart Bar.

Post 8 is the lovely Sara and she is indeed still at Check In Bar. Pretty reserved doesn't talk unless spoken too and not much English. I just checked out this morning after a 5 night stay. Short walk down to the BTS station up 7 steps with my bag and then it was escalators the rest of the was to the airport. It's hard to deviate from this place with the prices, and the location. I use the BTS so much and the bars I frequent are all close. The staff is great with guests and always polite with them.

Thanks Jamie, and to answer your question I have stayed there since, and I'm booked there again this week. I really like them for short stays and the location is great for access to Nana, Soi 7, 7/1, BTS and Soi 11. Easy to get metered taxi's or jump on BTS. 7/11 right outside the front door. The bathrooms are kind of dated but the rooms are fine I found. Shower head removes and could use more pressure. Staff is friendly. The one annoying thing was these creepy twats who stand right in the hotel entrance flashing the plastic cards for massage I think. I just ignore them as much as possible and walk right through them to get in to my hotel. Surprised security puts up with this. Price the last stay was around 1,000 baht but like I mentioned before it does fluctuate. I got the deluxe for a couple hundred baht more. Bigger room and bigger bed, and two big comfy chairs.

I stayed here in June after reading OTS review. I stayed here and Maninakorn and I liked P21 much better. New property, friendly staff, maid service will clean you room late if your one that likes to sleep in and er you know. You will want to have there address on hand at airport as most drivers had no clue where it was and had to ask around. It's tucked away in a quit alley which keeps noise levels at a minimum. I don't think they plan on putting lifts in so that is really the only drawback. It's only 3 floors and a really a pretty small hotel. Conveniently located near nightlife, Night Bizarre, Sunday Night Bizarre, Restaurants, and the moat (Thapae Gate). Another thing I found was a laundry just to the left out the front door of the hotel. Just 30 baht a kilo. Free WiFi, and two computers in the lobby if you don't take a device. I rented a motorbike which you can park right outside the hotels front door. Mini bar is free and has water, juice, and soft drinks. I guess the best endorsement of P21 is that I'm going back in August and staying there again.

Maxim does have a safe. The hotel is located at the end of Soi 7/1 which is pretty small. It's a short walk to Sukhumvit. If you take a left when hit Sukhumvit you will find Vasu Exchange which offers the best rates I've found. Maxim used to be pretty good value, but in the last year or so they have raised their rates. I find i Check Inn located directly accross from Maxim to be better value. It's a newer property and is cheaper than Maxim on Agoda booking site. Even cheaper if you book i Check Inn on their website. I just booked 5 nights at i Check Inn on their site for 5,369 baht including taxes. Return customers are upgraded if they book through the site.

Another plus about i Check Inn is bringing a second guest is no issue with them. They simply take both ID's. I don't do 3-some to often but it's nice to know there is no hassle bringing back two. I'm sure Randyandy put that to test a few times.

After the show two of them came out to talk to us and look for drinks or tips. I already tipped two of the gurls before the show 100 baht each. I did this instead of buying them 300 baht drinks. They were asking me how I liked the show. I told them I had been before and recognized a couple of the gurls. I told them I spoke to one last time and they asked who. I told described the gurl as the one who used to announce the gurls after the show. Oh one said that's our choreographer. She went in the back and told her I remembered her. So she came out and said hello. She didn't remember me or she may have just kept it to herself since I came with a different ladyboy last time, They allowed me to keep drinking for free the whole time. I think in hopes I would buy them drinks. I ended up buying the gurl who came out a 300 baht drink and tipped the other two another 100 baht each. I felt bad for them not having any customers. After we finished the last drink someone passed on that we would have to pay for the next drinks. That was our que. They didn't know at that point if they were going to have the next show, so I invited all three of them to join us at Check In Bar for the Stockings and pics PVC night. The one gurl asked where it was then asked the manager something and came back with if I bought all three of them a drink at 300 baht each they could go with us? Well I was with a date and I would have been glad to buy them drinks at CIB but I wasn't going to pay 900 baht for 3 drinks in essence to barfine some gurls I wouldn't be fucking. Apparently they knew about the clothing store Poi worked at and said they would come in and visit her. The choreographer gurl said they might stop in CIB later. I said it might be a good business to business relationship for them and the gurls at CIB could suggest to their farang customers to take them there. As it turns out they didn't show that night, but the one did go into Poi's shop the next day and bought 5000 baht worth of clothing. The high tech toilet like they have in Korea and Japan. I may have to go back solo and try my luck with this little cutie. If not rotated yet it will be soon.

The show was completely different than the one I attended in December 2013. Different songs, different costumes, and a few new gurls. Most of them still are from Chiang Mai. Seems like there were less as well. I spoke to them after and they mentioned how the guests have been down since the shutdown and Military Coup. They get a good share of Japanese tourists groups with the owner being Japanese. He apparently has a Club Daeng in Japan as well. I was pounding Singha's which was the free beer as I would have gotten trashed if I was drinking whiskey. The gurls pulled me up on stage for a dance. Thank fuck no other customers were there. They always do some crowd interactive thing and even that changed from my first visit.
