Is Hillary 1 the Hillary bar at the Rajah Hotel location - near the old Guess and Chaos 9 bars?

Omni Hotel criticised on LGBT issues

I think this hotel's clientele are Arabs (which explains the need for a "Do you know that's a ladyboy?" question) and Indians (which would explain why the hotel wants its customers to understand that offering a girl 300 baht after the deed is a dumb move). I am not trying to be facetious here. I bet that's exactly why the hotel uses that form - it's because of their customer demographics.

Omni Hotel criticised on LGBT issues

Its a tie for which part of that form is my favorite section: The part where you are informed that you have a ladyboy with you, or the part where you have to state how much you are paying her.

    Rooftop bars

I stayed at Galleria 10 for 6 or 7 nights last December. Like mardhi says, the rooftop food is decent but not special. The tables are tucked away in nooks and crannies in walls around the pool. This gives you a lot of privacy, which is a good thing. For a few nights during my stay, the roof was rented out for private parties and no hotel guests were allowed. During the day, the pool gets plenty of sun. I have read a couple of times on the forums that Lebua bar disdains ladyboys. Not exactly openly unfriendly, but the staff gives off a cold vibe when you show up with a girl. Is that true?

Hotels near Nana/Cowboy with big jacuzzi?

The Grand Hyatt Erawan has a large hot tub and a very nice pool area - you won't have to scramble around for a lounge chair because they have more than enough. It's a bit away from the action, but it is no farther from Nana Plaza than Sheraton Four Points. I know LBs and GGs love staying at the Grand Hyatt, because they never want to leave the morning after a longtime session and you have to kick them out of the room. I love that hotel. Join Hyatt's Gold Passport loyalty club if you are not a member. They frequently email special rates for Grand Hyatt, and they are usually very good bargains. A new Park Hyatt opened 1/4 mile away and I am guessing it is draining away some of the Grand Hyatt's customer base, therefore slashed room rates all the time.

    Dentist and doctors

Sounds like Thailand's dentists are more professional than what you come across in other third world countries. In Juarez, Mexico I once saw a dental office that doubled as an automobile upholstery repair shop.

    Don Muang airport to nana

I have used these guys at BKK airport before. I also always use them for trips back and forth between Bangkok - Pattaya and Bangkok - Hua Hin. The cars are spotless and the drivers are sane, sober and punctual. Overall, they are pretty good. Just be sure and specify a Camry when you book, otherwise they will get cute and try to default you into a pricier BMW or Mercedes ride.
  8. I have stayed at some of the hotels listed on your channel and i just viewed a couple of videos. They are excellent for hotel research purposes. Thanks for the link.
  9. In Terminal 21, there is Sushi Express on the floor 4 or 5. Quality is decent and they have the conveyor belts, which is a kick. It attracts some Japanese folks, so they are doing something right. There is another place called Fuji in the food court. They serve sushi, but it's more like a Japanese fast food place. Fuji is a ladyboy favorite, for what that's worth. Two different girls had me take them there for lunch. Down in the basement at Terminal 21 is another Japanese place - cannot recall the name of it - they serve sushi, but the prices put me off a bit and I didn't dine there. It was also attracting Japanese customers, so they may be worth a try if you can locate them. I have also seen several Japanese places on Soi 33, but haven't dined in any of them. I am not sure they welcome farangs / gaijin.

SkyTrax Best Airline of the Year 2017

No doubt these guys provide an unforgettable passenger experience.

SkyTrax Best Airline of the Year 2017

Am shocked that Lufthansa is in the top 10. Last time I flew them 2 years ago (Chicago - Frankfort), their IFE had very little to offer and the seats were fairly dated. Things must have changed since then. I also think Japan Airlines is better than ANA in almost every way, but that's obviously a minority opinion. One of the Arab airlines - Etihad, I think - claims Skytrax awards are rigged and I thought they were refusing to participate in the voting.
  12. Assange is trapped in Ecuador's embassy in London. Still no way for him to him leave either, just like Qatar Airways flight paths out of Qatar LOL.
  13. Even worse than imagined for Qatar Airways. The diplomatic rupture is going to strangle the country. http://www.businessinsider.com/qatar-airways-banned-from-crucial-airspace-2017-6
  14. Sounds like the next move for Saudi Arabia, Egypt, et.al will be to prohibit Qatar airways from using the airspace above their countries. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-06-05/qatar-airways-to-be-biggest-victim-in-gulf-diplomatic-breakdown FWIW, business class airfares from the US on Turkish Airways are dirt cheap these days because of Istanbul terrorism and Turkey's international image problem. Maybe Qatar will be drastically slashing fares as well. Every cloud has a silver lining.

    Hotel 99 (short time rooms)

They deserve bonus points for having round beds and mirrored ceilings I googled 'em and found a bit more info about their location: http://shorttimefun.com/listing/hotel-99.html

    Galleria 10

I stayed there in January. The elevators do require a room key. BTW, the elevators play only one song, Eric Clapton's "I shot the Sheriff" (One True Saxon will verify this). I don't know about smoking rooms, but I do remember ashtrays were readily available all over the property, so I am guessing the answer is yes. Galleria 10 is LB friendly, and the staff treated all girls I took there very well. They have a fun pool area on the roof with a pretty good bar / restaurant up there as well. I stayed on the club level. The rooms up there have a decent view of the City, but really nothing special. I think it's probably a little overpriced. For about the same cost you can stay at their sister property Grand Swiss on Soi 11, which offers more bang for the buck.

    Carry on items

I did some more research into this. It affects flights directly between the US and listed middle eastern airports. No US airlines fly directly between US and and of the airports, therefore only foreign airlines take the hit. I know that Delta once flew between JFK and Abu Dhabi, but not anymore apparently. I don't know what the new regulations are on connecting flights involving US or European airlines. I am guessing that the UAE airlines probably have levels of security far above and beyond what other airlines have, because they would have much to lose in the event of a terrorist attack than a western airline would. An attack on any UAE airline would be economically catastrophic for all of them.

    Carry on items

It's complete BS. The ban doesn't even apply to US carriers flying to the middle east , only foreign airlines. It sounds like it the the dirty work of American, United and Delta airlines. They have all been loudly whining to the US government about the Arab gulf airlines expanding into US markets. They claim the Arab airlines get unfairly subsidized by their governments. Never mind all the tax abatements, airport infrastructure improvements, the cash bailouts given to US airlines after 9/11 - all of it paid for by US taxpayers. I hope this isn't a precursor to restricting Emirates, Qatar, etc from expanding further in the US per US airline demands. The Obama administration told the the US carriers to fuck off. I really hope Trump does the same, even if he can't get anything else right.

    Phachara Suites

The best way to find out is to email them and get the info straight from the horse's mouth. I agree with Gympy that the benefits outweigh the hassle and that you may a difficult time finding a good hotel that doesn't have the elevator key access feature. I can't think of a BKK hotel I have stayed in that doesn't have them.

    Paradiso Boutique Suites, Soi 10

I stayed there on 2 separate occasions earlier this month. First stay, I was on 2nd floor which had an outside deck. None of their rooms on higher floors have balconies. The second stay, I was on 7th floor with no balcony but I liked the room better. The 2nd floor room had really bad wifi, but the 7th floor room had great wifi. They also have a fun pool and restaurant on the roof that I enjoyed. They only had one song on the elevator that played whenever I was using it, Eric Clapton's "I shot the Sheriff" I go sick of hearing it. OTS may have heard it also.
  21. Why not just buy a subscription, contact the girls you want, get their Line ID or wechat or whatever, then cancel your subscription before the next billing cycle. That's what I have done in the past. If you are willing to spend US $25, you can save yourself all the grief.

    Thai Airways..2nd Year Running.....

If it's not cost prohibitive, you may just want to cancel your reservation and book with somebody like Nok Air or Air Asia who can offer a schedule more to your liking and maybe at a better price than what Thai is charging. If you are a couple of months away, why not just wait a few weeks and see if fares decline? Agreed. I flew Bangkok Airways BKK-HKT and found them to be very impressive.
  23. You can only do one or the other. Of course, there are splitter adapters available allowing you to listen and charge at the same time. The one I saw was a Belkin model for an obscene $39. I think I will pass on that. I am also not interested in investing in wireless headphones right now. The adapter that comes with the phone works fine. You cannot discern any difference in headphone sound while using it.
  24. Mine arrived yesterday. I upgraded from a 6s. The 7 has a matte black finish. I think it looks pretty sharp. The hoo-haw about the home button radically changing seems to be total BS. It still functions pretty much the same way as previous versions with fingerprint activation, but still needs to be pressed to move between apps. I can't tell any difference myself. The thing you notice immediately is the improved display. it's much brighter with more vividness in the colors. I really like the display upgrade. I was playing music on it last night and it seemed to be chewing through the battery charge at a faster clip than on my old iPhone. It does come with an adapter for your headphones to be used with the lightning jack. I haven't tried out the earbuds that came with the phone. I took a few pics with the camera, but not enough of them to form an opinion about its abilities. It too is supposed to be an improvement from previous versions. I haven't dropped it into water yet to see if it really is waterproof. I will take Apple's word for it. The setup went smoothly and everything transferred from the old phone with no issues. If you are moving up from an IPhone 5 or 6, I would recommend getting this phone. If you currently have a 6s, you should probably just save the money for your next ladyboy expedition.

    Pattaya Hotel recommendation

I stay at Page 10 Hotel on Soi 10. It's about the closest thing there is to a centrally located hotel. 69 Bar is 5 minute stroll away. Sensations is about 12-15 minutes away (it's better to take a scooter taxi there). LaBamba and The House are 10 minutes away by baht bus. Soi 6 same same. Central Festival Mall is 5 minutes away on foot. You will kill a lot of time in the mall during the daytime because there is nothing else to do in Pattaya during daylight hours. The room décor is sort of a Scandinavian minimalist theme that looks like it's straight from the 1960's, but the hotel is only a few years old. They are comfortable and have large bathrooms with jetted tubs. On the roof is a nice pool with bar service, also a gym up there but it's small. The breakfast is basic - similar to what Phachara in BKK offers if you have ever stayed there. However, for lunch and dinner it's very good. Room service is speedy and the lobby bar is relaxing. The rooms do have balconies. Across the soi is a beer bar that plays Issan music until the wee hours, so ask for a high floor room. Several ladyboys work at this hotel. There is always at least one (and sometimes 2) LBs running the front desk, and there are 2 or 3 more working in the restaurant. The restaurant manager is a middle aged LB. I know that at least one of the front desk girls moonlights P4P, but you have to meet her off premises. http://page10hotel.com If you email them, they may quote you a better price than what their own website or hotel reservation websites quote.
