I had a scare with HIV on my last trip to Bangkok. I had been with a few lbs from Cascades and spent a lot of time with one. This night though I was just there to have a drink but one of the lbs there was real eager to go with me. After that I left and became really worried that I might of gotten HIV and went to another lb I knew and told her what happened and she said I should go to the hospital and get a blood test (blood tests for HIV are useless though until 4 weeks after). I did the blood test which was negative but the doctor started me on HIV prophylactics anyway and I have been on them for the past 4 weeks. I was only worried the night this happened, afterwards i realized i over reacted and wasn't worried about having HIV at all, but i still took the meds because on the very slim chance I did have HIV and stopped taking the meds the HIV would become resistant to them. Oh well live and learn.
I'm fine now though and can't wait to go back there in March
Looking back I should of just taken her to the hospital and paid to have her tested to saved myself the trouble. And if a lb/girl wants to go with you for free, exercise extreme caution and don't assume anything.
