ShyguyUK and myself had our traditional New Year's lunch this Friday at Artur, a very traditional steak house with a lot of classic French dishes on the menu such as frog legs, burgundy snails, sole meuniere, pan fried foie gras, bisque d'homard, home made sauces such as an excellent Bearnaise etc etc. The last few years we had always opted for Le Normandie, but we decided to mix it up this year around and we sure as hell didn't regret that decision. The food was more than excellent! Artur ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Restaurant/ARTUR-Restaurant-330562996849/ ) is located in Soi Ton Son, in between Phloenchit and Chidlom BTS stations. I exited at Chidlom and it took me about 5 minutes on foot to get there. I had the Bisque D'homard ( lobster soup), sole meuniere and tarte tatin accompanied by some wines recommended by the Thai female chef ( who speaks fluent English and French). Full marks all around and the return factor is very high! Very quiet for lunch, for a more lively atmosphere it is recommended to go for dinner. Amuse bouche, very tasty! House white wine Bisque d'homard A light red recommended by the Thai female chef. Sole meuniere, the beurre blanc and the home made bearnaise that came with it were more than excellent. A glass of the recommended red wine and a glass of Sancerre to go with desert. A raspberry bavarois on the house. Tarte Tatin The least pleasant bit of the afternoon

I'm also a fan of Big Dogs, for the same reasons as OTS, who I've joined at the Big Dogs rail to watch the talent arrive.

My top three bars are: 1. Stumble Inn: great people watching, great live music, open front, just a great place! 2. Fitzgerald's: great food, great people watching, nice staff (usually) 3. Bully's Pub: great Thai food, great selection of drinks, air conditioned, nice place to hang around for a while

Big Dogs : same reason as OTS and Bwana_lb Bus Stop : in the morning for the breakfast and the cute waitress Hillary 2 : I feel good there moving around bodies, enjoying the live music and the drinks, having fun with a ladyboy after or before a session, watching the players at pool

Pub grub dose what it says on the tin (Barry) Fitzgerald’s formerly Hanrahans.... Like fact you can build your own breakfast there and they do a mean bacon butty as well. Plus it’s good to chill outside having a cigarette & a coffee

While Bangkok is absolutely great for food I must ask you guys to give Cozy Italia a try. Its just in front of CIB and they usually order dinner from there Their chicken cashew nut is very good and different from other places. Great Som Tum and Tom Yum Goong. Nara restaurant also serves a wonderful fried prawn in garlic dish. It is out of this world.

Great info. Tnx! I picked up three boxes of Teno-Em at Chula Basaj today for 660 a piece, a 500THB saving pr box. The pharmacy is small and was filled with people, so kinda chaotic. But luckily only private orders when I was there, so done in 10 minutes.

I’ll answer my own post. Been researching the availability of truvada in LOS and there’s some really good things that I came across in the fight to prevent HIV. Firstly, Truvada is owned by Gilead Sciences. They own a monopoly over the Prep anti viral drug. In first class countries, they’re the sole providers and creators of Truvada. In LOS, India, elsewhere that is developing there are quite a few generic versions. Out of the goodness of their heart, Gilead does not pursue the generic versions for patent infringement. In LOS, Truvada can be found be is upwards of 20,000 baht per month for 30 pills. The generic versions are identical in compounds/ingredients and range anywhere from 600 baht to 1,500 baht per month. Ricovir-Em is one such generic version created in India by the largest drug manufacturer in the world. Teno-Em is a generic version that is created under the guidance of the Thai govt. easily available for 600 baht for the Thai masses. There are a couple more as well. Thailand has committed lots of money and research towards protecting its citizen against HIV. The easiest way to access these drugs is to go to the Thai Red Cross Anonymous Clinic - close to Lumphimini Park. I also canvassed many pharmacies in the lower Sukhumvit area and the majority don’t have Teno-em or Ricovir-em in stock but can order it and receive it with 24 hrs. That’s how I got myself some Teno-em.

Last trip I took 5 of the lovely lbs from “Why Not Bar” to The Sky Bar at The Lebua Hotel for drinks/cocktails, then out to dinner. We all had a great night and they were so excited and appreciated it so much. Mind you they aren’t use to drinking champagne and cocktails. As we were leaving a couple of young Arab guys got in the lift, they looked at the gals, looked at me, looked at the gals again and looked at me again, and then I said to them “Never try never know guys” We got out of the lift and one of the lbs tripped over spread eagled over the floor laughing, 30 seconds later another one goes over and snaps one of her high heels and decides to put both shoes in the bin - I turned to her and said “You’re such a bloke” Yes it did cost a bit but it was so much fun and the gals loved it. Say no to grief

Straight to my room. Wouldn't think of taking a hooker from the net that I've never met out for dinner and a night out before shagging them. For a couple reasons: 1. Spending more money unnecessarily and opening up the potential for the date to backfire. You might find things you don't like about her or she might find things she doesn't like about you that leads to either you or her not looking forward to the later encounter. Even worse is if the ladyboy thinks that you're courting her because you're looking for more than a fuuck... then you've got a paid date that doesn't want to leave, bugging you on messaging apps, jealously, etc. 2. Filling a ladyboy with food and then going out for the night doesn't sound like a good idea when someone is about to get fucked in the ass later. Eating and drinking gets the bowels moving... A lot of ladyboys plan their diet out to eat at certain times to keep their pooper as vacant as possible during their usual playtime. Probably not going to have much affect if you eat and then go straight back to the room, but eating, going out for a few hours... things are going to be starting to move from the stomach to the intestines in a few hours. Sure, the ladyboy can shoot a few gallons of water up their ass to clean as much shit out as possible, but I think you're just creating more room for leakage, gas, smells, etc. ... Nope I'm not saying to not do go out and eat and take ladyboys out for a night out, but it's better to do it with someone you've met before and know you have a connection with. It'll probably be a lot less embarrassing if either of you have an accident after a big meal and a night out if it's someone you've been with before. That's not something you want to happen on a first time encounter IMO.
