Siam Man 2,298 #1 Posted December 7, 2013 I recently stayed four days at the Ibis Sathorn, It was priced about the same at Ibis soi 4. See Ibis Soi 4 thread http://www.bangkokladyboys.net/forum/index.php?/topic/51-ibis-nana-soi-4-updated-2013/page-3 I wanted to comapre the two and after staying at both during my recent stay there really isn't much to compare besides location. I wanted to try being closer to Patpong jus tto see if that would get me down there more. It really didn't. A short walk to MRT station and then one stop to Silom where you can walk to Patpong or take Sala Daeng station for BTS to Nana. The rooms are the exact dimensions as the other with no visible difference. They too are guest friendly as have the same policy when guest come of taking their ID and calling when Guests leave. I had acraigslister come during the day time and they called me from the lobby after she did to get my name LOL. Then they escorted her up. She noticed some ST hotel behind the building. View from back of hotel. Short time rooms below. Pretty rough the craigslister told me. Access to some resteraunts and taxi's although not on a on major Soi. Moon resteraunt right across the soi has Westerna nd Thai dishes reasonably priced.
MortenXL 7 #2 Posted December 7, 2013 My LB friend Katay cant for the best of her understand why i dont stay at that IBIS, instead of soi4. I guess it would happen sooner or later, we'd be in town in the same period.
OneTrueSaxon 6,000 #3 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) I think all Ibis are almost identical in Thailand. The only diifference in Hua Hin was it had a balcony. I think it's nice to try different areas away from Nana from time to time. The last three trips I have stayed away for a few nights be it Phrom phrong, On Nut or soi Rambuttri in the old town. One of us needs to try The Riverside Ibis in Bangkok and the Siam one too though that's a bit more expensive. Edited December 9, 2013 by OneTrueSaxon
