Emirates increases its daily flights to BKK to 6

Emirates from 27OCT13 further increases capacity on Dubai – Bangkok service. In addition to the introduction of 2nd daily A380 service, the airline will add overall 6th daily service on this route, on board Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.

Yeah I saw that..... have the costs come down to fly out from BKK with Emirates given the additional supply?... or did they get these additional slots at the airport by colluding on prices and therefore protecting Thai Airlines?

airlines prices algorythms are second only to the search engines ones...

I think the demand is there, plus the general word of mouth saying EK is a perfect and good price airlines.

Their good value, IMHO , and strongest asset is the network, the fact they touch sort of secondary airports in europe, ie not only the nation capitals or main airports,

Their business class is a bit lower than other airlnines, but comparisons are also tricky. They do good deals, sometime.

I am pretty sure they are not lowering the prices because they are going to have a 6th flight. Simoly the demand grows. They know Thai Airways is decreasing some services with Europe, so they offer the capacity.

Lots of arabs using it to go to BKK, btw!

I agree they are great value when your flight originates outside of BKK.... it's just flights originating from BKK are fecking horrendously priced, often 25%+ higher than the same flight originating elsewhere.
