Aloft and Four Points by Sheraton (updated 2013)

Recommended Posts

Does anyone happen to know the guest policy for either of these two hotels? I like these hotels but am worried about whether they'll take kindly to guests. Appreciate any advice!

Capcrunch,

I've also been interested in the FourPoints Sheraton, not in staying there as the prices are a bit out of my league, but the fact that they have a bar there called the BeerVault, and it offers many nice Belgium Beers, and others not typically found in LOS. :)

If I can get a cold Duvel,or Rochefort 10 there then I'd be in heaven especially if I was in the company of a hot Ladyboy while enjoying this delicious nectar.

Cheers,

Iceberg :)

A loft is fine.

Also, the WXYZ bar inside there is doing a cocktail special promo on Friday and Saturday nights. 499B for as many as you can drink between 9pm and 1am. My company and I staggered out of there this weekend.

cap,

I really don't care about impressing my friend,as I just love good beer so much that this place sounds ideal! I will be staying in Pattaya for 35 nights, and have even thought of going back to BKK for a night or 2 and booking a room(even though my room is paid up in Patts)just to have a great time drinking the great beers!:lol:

I'm a serious beer snob, what can I say I love a great brew!

Cheers

I stayed at Aloft hotel in Dec2012/Jan2013 and overall it was pretty nice hotel, i would recommend it. It is lb friendly and doesn't charge a guest fee.

It's very modern and new, has a unique open concept design for the whole hotel. Honestly from the pictures on expedia, i thought it looked really weird, but it's much better looking in person.

The swimming pool is nice, and it has a gym.

the location was just ok, it's a very busy street with slow moving traffic, even the taxi drivers comment on how slow the traffic is there.

they do have a tuk tuk that can take you to nana bts, but you might have to wait 15 minutes for him to get back to the hotel.

there is a 711 just outside and some really nice restaurants down the street.

Aloft and Four Points are both great, no problem with guests at either and no joiner fees. Should you make arrangements with a girl, or girls, ahead of time and they're going to meet you at your room, hotel staff will call for your ok and escort your guests to the elevator. No direct access to the rooms, unfortunately. And they are both vigilant about getting your ok before they let the girls go. I am at the Aloft now, and frankly it doesn't seem too busy, but rooms are harder to come by at the Four Points so I think it's a bit more popular generally. Both get excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, for what it's worth. If you have SPG points both are level 2 properties (out of 6) so you are getting great value for those points, too.
