Here are a few more
Zuma Bangkok is located on the ground floor of the St. Regis Hotel, right next to Ratchadamri BTS station. Zuma has branches in 14 locations worldwide, some of which are notoriously hard to get reservations at; particularly the ones in New York and London come to mind for me. The Bangkok branch thankfully does not have such issues, in fact chances are you can get a table when you walk in without reservations such as I did on the 2 occasions I had lunch there. It is by no means a cheap restaurant but when compared to the branches in the West it delivers good value for money. The atmosphere is pleasantly informal and the food is excellent, particularly the duo of salmon & tuna tartar with Oscietra caviar and the Wagyu beef gyoza stood out for me. Will I return a 3d time? For sure yes. https://www.zumarestaurant.com/zuma-landing/bangkok/en/welcome
A Japanese restaurant that is consistently highly rated on TripAdvisor is Tsu Nami in the basement of the JW Marriot on Sukhumvit soi 2. Nami is the Teppan Yaki side of the restaurant where I have never dined, whilst Tsu on the other side of the restaurant serves more traditional Japanese food. It's a very large restaurant so showing up without reservations should generally speaking not be an issue. Service is attentive without being too formal and the food is of very highly quality. Sadly this restaurant lets itself down for me on the pricing level. Whilst I do not mind paying over the odds for high quality food I do object to a restaurant 'taking the piss', which in my opinion Tsu does. It is for that reason I will not be returning in a hurry...
Brasserie Cordonnier is conveniently located on soi 11, more or less right across from Insanity. It is a French Brasserie style restaurant that serves classic French dishes such as snails and steak tartar. The atmosphere is informal, the food is good and well priced for this part of town. The only thing that needs improvement in my opinion is the selection of wines by the glass. Great place to go with a group of friends prior to a night on the town. https://cordonnierbkk.com/
The lobby is small and often very busy. They don't make a habit of asking for IDs and because I knew all girls in pics very well, there was no need to stop at front desk. If you aren't well acquainted with an LB, for your own safety you probably want to have the front desk take her ID. Otherwise, just make a beeline for the elevators.
Taking 2 girls to the room are no problem. I don't know about taking 3 guests. Just make your reservation for 2 people, so at least you will be partially covered if questions arise. Good luck.
Cool thx Oliver, I stayed in mercure 11 last time so i remember the stuck traffic very well and the burger was great.
Did you sign the 2 girls in when you brought them up or u just walked in? I notice that the lobby is pretty small so no chance to go in unnoticed like at the Sofitel.
And did u ever bring 3 people? A buddy of mine will join us with 2 ladyboys, and I was thinking of giving him one of the two doorcards and we would go in seperately or is that not neccessary?
Treasure trove this page, if you are in town would love to buy you a drink!
Citrus 11 is excellent value for the money. The traffic gets backed up on the soi out front, and you can often save time by just hiking down to soi 3 to get a cab there. From Sukhumvit, you can take a motorbike taxi up 11 for about 20 baht. The hotel restaurant is fine, but nothing special. Around the corner is Firehouse Hamburger (one of the best you will eat), The Australian, and other Soi 11 restaurants.
A little bonus....Below is a photo I took at Citrus 11 of Sofie a few years back, right after she got plastic jugs installed. Back then she was cute, mentally stable and pleasant to be around. These days she is none of those things, sad to say. But we sure had some fun in that hotel, LOL.
How is less than 2,5% a gigantic number?
If you multiply that with the chance of someone having G, you number will be really low.
and I get my numbers from scientific articles on PubMed, sciencedirect etc.
Knowing someone with G is anekdotical evidence btw.
I will repeat it one more time though. Being afraid of getting superG while punting is equally irrational as being afraid to die in a planencrash. There have been more plane related deaths in 2018 than newly diagnosed superG infections in 2016. (No data for 2017 or 2018)
