As P&G points out there is not really much action and it is very quiet. But with that budget you could probably get a beach front place chalet with all the amenities. I wouldn't recommend booking a full week unless high season and everything might be booked out but 2 or 3 days is enough, if you like it stay longer but you would want to keep the option open to go back to Phuket wherever as it might be too quiet if your trying to do any mongering.

I flew qantas also and as expected the flight over was shit, terrible food and ugly air hostesses. I flew back from Singapore though and it was in one of their refitted airbuses - nice seats and the entertainment system was the best i've experienced, makes a world of difference, the seats are pretty comfortable too.

Is it able to enter discretely without going passed cib? Only wonder as iwould want to take some non bar lbs there and would rather they dont know that i go to lb bars

Have done the BKK- Mukdahan overnight bus, pretty uneventful actually. Just went to morchit and booked the ticket an hour or two before departure. I was the only farang on the bus, they gave me a seat with extra leg room, not that I need it at all. The journey is just flat but I did manage to get a bit of sleep and to wake up looking at the rice fields is quite relaxing in the early morning. It is almost 100% flat and straight so can't see how it could be dangerous and the drivers keep to a consistant speed.

Well to answer the ops original question yes nasa is lb friendly. The rooms are big and you cant really beat the value. But the location, well a short taxi ride, it just good for staying if you have to get to the airport the next day. Otherwise I wouldnt really bother staying out there because its cheap. It is also very busy and checking out takes a hell of a long time, there is also nowhere to eat within walking distance. So i wouldnt bother staying more than 1 night.

I think the moral of the story is always have a spare razor to keep the tongue safe from abrasion.

It seems like you are just going to keep asking until you get the answer you want - as if that might make you feel better/safer. From the answers you get here it seems at best there is uncertainty and at worst they do not get tested. If you ask ladyboys in the bar then they are probably going to tell you what you want to hear - that yes they are all clean and tested regularly.

I try to avoid drinking any non bottled water, but at the same time I go through a rigorous routine to ensure my body gets a good dose of the local's bacteria to deal with local bugs. The preferred dose is 3-4 times daily, taken orally and you can pick it up in most areas around Soi4 for as little as 500baht, hawkers are found all over the street especially late at night (you can usually get a free sample to check the taste is OK) before you take back to your room to administer. It's not recommended to take anally as can contain other nasties but orally its works like a treat and is protein packed. The side effects can cause sudden euphoria though so be warned if you have heart problems etc.

I assume this issue is still being worked on but regular updates will be appreciated as still getting the warning message. Have not had any reassurance that it is no risk as of yet from either here or LBP.
