It gets mixed reviews on these boards. I like the place but I can fully understand the people who say the don't. The rooms are very good now as a lot have been refurbished. It is geared up for guests as there is a separate desk by the lifts for the guest to show ID etc, this is more convenient and discrete than going to reception. No charges for guests, I suspect if they tried the hotel would empty. It should be fine for your needs.

Does anyone have any thoughts, comments or insights into this place ? It seems to tick a lot of boxes for me and now that Lady Boy ground zero is centered around Check in and Cindys has a great location.

Same here, it was the first Bangkok hotel I stayed in and always loved staying there. I can agree with the criticisms, but the staff, location and stories from other guests mean I will always head there.

I stayed here for part of my holiday last year, it's certainly a nice hotel. Bit disappointed with the room for the price, also the pool wasn't great (bit small and crowded). Took a GG back one night, the hotel was fine about it but got some really dirty looks from other guests. Personally not sure I would stay here again as I think you can probably do better for the money.

I will always have a soft spot for Hotel Nana. I know its a bit of a hole but I like the staff and enjoy chatting to the guests. It also has the best location going. It was the first Bangkok hotel I stayed in so probably a bit sentimental about it. Will be in BKK end of October, first part of the stay I have treated myself to the Landmark, always admired the place and after 3 years of not going away thought I would push the boat out. on the last leg of the holiday will stay at the Nana.
