    Grand Swiss Hotel Soi 11

Hi all Just booked the Grand Swiss Hotel on Soi 11 for my return for 3 nights, was wondering if anyone knows if this is guest friendly or any info about this hotel Cheers Spoons
  3. Yes and Yes, I will add them now, and I know both Bee and Patti took some Pics I will get them to send me and will upload too
  4. Hi All Realised I forgot to post my Review of the Above 11 Bar / Restaurant. I visited on 4th Feb with my 2 Fav LB (Bee & Patti) and I had already made a table reservation. We entered the lift with a couple of others and was so funny the expression on the European woman,s face was a picture as she stared at me with my 2 Friends. But we were greeted by the Bar by the waitress and shown to our roof side table overlooking Soi 11, and ordered cocktails, a Bottle of Wine and some sushi selection and we were treated just like any other customers so this place id 100% LB friendly. We ordered, the soft Crab, Golden Potatoes, California Roll, Salmon and avacado roll, and a Tuna roll. The Food was very tasty, not the best sushi I have had but certainly edible. The bill with Wine was around 3500THB which I thought was very reasonable. I would recommend a visit here, not just the view, but food and cocktails were very good -

    Grand President - Soi 11

Hi all, So I stayed at the Grand President from 4-7th Feb and must admit its a reasonable hotel. I originally booked via agoda and got a rate of £117 for the 4 nights booked Monday night as guaranteed late check in as new would arrive early morning. After some reviews I discovered I was in tower 3 so decided to contact the hotel via email for an upgrade to a delux suite and they agreed an upgrade fee of 900THB per night . Check in - very smooth process I was checked in and room keys provided IWithin 10-15 mins, I asked if there was a fully stocked mini bar as just off a 12 hr flight needed some refreshments, and was told yes. The Room Was in Tower 2 room 1122, and room had a big lounge, separate bedroom and kitchen, however no mini bar, called reception and house keeping arrived with 5 mins to clean out room next door to my fridge, had nice cold one and waited for my guest :-) Bathroom Ok the bathtub needed some slight refurb, but shower was clean, functional and everything worked as required, shortage of towels but sorted out next day to double the room stock Bedroom Nice fesh clean sheets, comfortable bed, nice big screen tv and plenty of strange space. Guest friendly- Well you all know I took a guest each night, and although you do need a room key for the elevators is no problem, first morning my guest met me in the lobby of tower 2 and I asked if she had any issues with security and she said no I just walked in. I gave her a room key to get back in the afternoon, and again she had no issues accessing the hotel. Each night very late, apart from 1 night security asked to see her ID but that was it, no drama no fuss just that knowing nod as I walked past. Hotel location is great on Soi 11, just opposite the Aussie bar, great lunches and a short stroll or taxi to all the main sites. I would reccomend this hotel, and Tower 2 has very easy access for guests and great location, and free wifi that was actually very good

    Flight ratings (2015 updates)

I travel to moscow quite a lot and even in the airports you can only buy beer, no wine or spirits. They trying to stop the Russians getting plastered before the flight. Does it work nah, they buy a bottle in duty free for the lounge and the plane
  8. Has anyone been to the rooftop bar at the Marriot hotel on Soi 57, it looks really nice but wondering if it's LB friendly Colin
  9. Hi all I need a couple of sad memory cards and was wondering if they are cheaper in BKK or the uk
  10. Hi all We all know we love spending time at the LB Bars, but then sometimes its nice to take them away from their bar and have a good evening at a regular bar that is of course LB friendly, before heading to the hotel How about we start a list of Favourite bars (Beer Bars, Wine bars, Cocktail bars, high end bars) that are all LB friendly to allow us visitors to plan a couple nights away from the LB bays and all the antics that go on Colin

    Majestic Grande (updated 2014)

Hi All I recently stayed at the Majestic Grand over a long weekend and found this hotel not only very convenient location but very Guest Friendly. Reception /Check in Arrived mid afternoon, and was processed and given a room upgrade, and was also given a voucher for a free drink at the hotel bar, overall very quick and smooth check in Bar / Restaurant The lobby bar was usually very quiet, but had to use my voucher :-). The main restaurant I only used for breakfast on 1 day, but the choice and quality of food was exceptional, and the usual egg station in operation Pool / Spa The Pool is very very very small, with about 6 sun beds, but hey a quick refreshing dip after trawling the streets in an afternoon was nice. Guest Friendly on 2 nights I brought back a LB to my room, the first night was around 2am, and the night security just asked to see her ID no fuss no questions took about 30 seconds and we were on our way to my room. The second night did not get back till gone 4am, security did not even ask this time, he nodded at me as I walked past and we were on on way again. I would highly recommend this hotel, as if you shop around you can get a great room for around £40-£45 per night including Breakfast
