    Chef Bar

Best burger in Bangkok. Highly recommended.
  2. Excellent advice if you want to experience Thai food as the Thais eat it.
  3. If you want quality upgraded Thai food, check out Soul Food Mahanakorn, a very short walk from the Thong Lor BTS. If alone, you can sit at the bar (they also do good drinks). If with a date, reservations advised. They're ladyboy friendly. I've brought dates there before. I've even seen a ladyboy employed as a server. http://www.soulfoodmahanakorn.com/
  4. Margarita Storm for mexican food, on soi 13. Viva on soi 8. Firehouse for burgers on soi 11. But no need to limit yourself to Nana. The BTS will take you to lots of good restaurants just a few stops away.

    has anyone caught an std?

There's a lot of misinformation out there about HIV and oral sex. Cum in the mouth is considered by leading researchers to be somewhere between extremely low risk and a "theoretical" risk at best. Extremely low risk means that if there is a perfect storm -- an extremely high viral load combined with open bleeding wounds in the mouth or gonorrhea of the throat -- then it is possible to contract HIV through oral sex. Theoretical means that it's technically possible but just isn't going to happen. HIV is a very fragile virus and is damaged by contact with air (there is lots of air in your mouth). Your saliva also contains enzymes that damage the virus, making it unable to infect. So even if you have open wounds or an STD in your throat, the virus is still very likely to be damaged before it infects you. Spitting, swallowing, or wallowing really doesn't make a difference. The bottom line: if you want to take cum in your mouth, go for it. I certainly do.
  7. It resets every time you leave the country. Starts again on the day you return.

    Blowjobs & Mouth Ulcers

The mouth is not a friendly place for the HIV virus. The virus is very fragile and saliva contains enzymes that instantly damage it. Also, the HIV virus can not withstand exposure to air, which also exists in your mouth. Tiny cuts from brushing and flossing are not enough of an opening for transmission. Neither is a mouth ulcer -- unless it is open and actively bleeding. For HIV to be transmitted through oral sex you need an open wound big enough for the virus to instantly enter your bloodstream before being damaged by air and saliva. The average ulcer doesn't fit that criteria.

Better to let someone have the last word than to prolong a petty dispute.

    Why pick a fight, P&G?
  12. I've taken girls to Viva on soi 8. It's open-patio dining, a nice menu of both Western and Thai food, and a good bar with decent wine. The wait staff is chill and you have a nice view of the soi. My dates have liked the food. It's reasonably priced with no service charge. They're ladyboy friendly.

    Current STD clinics

I just got back from the Red Cross for my six month testing. I got tested for both HIV and syphilis. 200 baht for each test. Waited less than an hour to get my blood drawn, then left and came back an hour later for the results, which were given to me within five minutes. So the entire visit was less than two hours total. It was my second time there, so my registration process was not as lengthy. A note of interest, which was briefly mentioned in another thread. In addition to the standard antibodies test, they now do a test for the virus itself. Results for the antibodies test are given same day. Testing for the virus is done within two days and they only notify you of those results if you test positive. This is good news in two ways. 1) the virus test is usually quite expensive, but they are doing it as part of a funded research project at no extra charge. 2) those who've had a risky experience don't need to wait the standard 30 days to be tested, as those newly infected will test positive on the virus test within one or two weeks. two weeks max. Very good experience at the Thai Red Cross today. Test results negative.

    Short term Condo

airbnb is the first place i'd look. you can also check out craigslist and this FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1448963955379462/. You should be able to find a sublet easily for 14,000 to 20,000 baht on a BTS or MRT line. The On Nut area is a good place to look.
